Fusion cores disappearing
Yesterday, just after update, I've slammed fresh 100% recharged fusion core into my PA and teleported into Scorched Earth event. After arrival that core just disappeared like fully depleted and switched to 25% one. After fight I changedb that battery to another 100% full and teleported home. This new battery vanished on arrival as well. Has someone met that devastating bug? It already costed me way too much...

But if you only use the PA for traveling then you only need 1 FC and it never runs out because you dont run, shoot or use a jetpack while in the PA, so why recharge them at all?

ps. i have a PA build and use Vats and run alot and I even dont use that many FC, I never need to buy any, because i find them alot around in the world.

Also be a bit more nicer to people, but i guess you cant be blamed because you sound like a bitter, greedy, lazy person and you dont know how to be friendly anymore

It's far easier to leave powerarmored character under laser fire than powerup that power plant (dit that couple of times, and it's a quite a long event, I must admit)

You don't have to power up the whole plant, you can just connect regular generators to the fusion core extractor.

Mine did not disappear with fast travel but instantly on manually removing them from the PA just fyi. They were also not charged previously in any way but brand new, looted from the world.
I guess I found that bug conditions: not on fast travel, and not caused by recharge (I guess, the game doesnt record charge log for each core in game), it happens when you manually change the core with less charge to a more charged one. It appears, thad bug causes PA to automatically switch to the least charged core present in inventory and DESTROY the current one. Happened when I switched non-charged with 7% to a freshly-found non-charged with 25% and entered PA. 25% core disappeared, 7% activated instead and FC count decreased. I guess, people just do not notice, because they are not as ultimately greedy as I am.

Well i can give you some FC, just check number of them before and after fast trawel
IT can just switch them like with energy gatling's.
If you did hmm then last resolt would be checking if it consumes cores on low energy when using fast trawel, it might be quick save issue.

It disappeared not with fast travel, but when I entered PA. I'm entering PA for fast travel only and do it instantly after putting that PA on. So I noticed losing of FC on arrival only. Now I'm just removing FC from PA before entering, it puts the least charged automatically and nothing is trashed. Just have to mention that, to not lose another one.
I too charge my FC's - it means I can use a few dozen, charge the rest, sell them and charge just a bit more caps for them. I have encountered this issue - to a degree. the number of cores would decrease as I swapped out a charged one for a drained one (1%-99%).

I was not fast traveling or moving or shooting...

I noticed this almost immediately, and after a quick test to confirm my suspicions and my method, I had only lost 3-4 cores - ALWAYS 100% cores too.

Well, ♥♥♥♥♥ bug.
It's no wonder most people don't know it, most just don't switch them and alvays have 1 FC inside.
Anyway my offer didn't change, i have a lott of them and can offer some.

Yeah, that bug not about fast travel, as I thought initialy because I always fast travel right after entering PA and noticed loss right after jump. Actually, that bug fires when you enter PA with FC charged more than least charged FC in your inventory. Not necessary 100%. I've lost 25% FC because got 7% one in inventory. Very unpleasant bug, but at least I know how to live with it: dump lowcharged cores into chest, and right b4 entering PA take out its FC to be automatically inserted the least charged one.

True. Not many people in this Universe a bit as greedy as I am. :)
Thanks for your offer, it's really nice from your side! But I've already replaced that loss when understood how that bug works. Or else it would be constant wasting into nothing.

You are the only person on the entire planet who does this. You are literally collecting garbage that most people just drop on the ground.

Full Fusion cores are easy to get from Power Plant Workshops and Daily Ops. The only reason to "recharge" them with Electric Absorption is if you hate yourself.

The bug seems to be "recharged" Fusion Cores disappearing on load screens. You should send in a ticket on Bethesda's website, including how you found this bug.
The reasons are greed, laziness and avoiding any activity requiring human interaction. It's far easier to leave powerarmored character under laser fire than powerup that power plant (dit that couple of times, and it's a quite a long event, I must admit) or cooperate with other people in daily ops (it's a pain enough to do this once per day for those SCORE points).
Yes, I came to the very same conclusion at start: newly implemented bug, which causes recharged FC to disappear during fast travel.
If I may reiterate - just in case you missed it - there is no need to do the powering-up quest/steps for the power plants; IF you have the Fusion Generator (which gives 100 Electricity). If you wanted, you could then also use the small power plant generators on the walls of the plant itself, for the Resource Nodes around it - all you have to do then is create a bunch of Power Wire Connectors (nodes) and run wires to the Resource collectors you place on the Resource nodes to gather materials.

I hope that made sense, I'm getting tired heh
GL with it
