Does the Explosive Pepper Shaker exist?

Yes it exists

No you cannot use legendary crafting to get it

you can only get it from ally quests at an absurdly low drop rate

1 - it needs to drop a pepper shaker so 1/200 chance
2 - it needs to be at least 2* (2/3 chance)
3 - it needs to have explosive as the second star 1/9 chance

all told ~ 1 / 1200 chance of it happening from a random ally quest reward

I heard they fixed that with the ally so not sure it can even drop now

Not sure I've had the two I've got for a while now, didn't cost to much to trade for either. Just know that is how the guys who farmed them got them.

Its no where near my legacies which is upsetting because originally it would have been on par or very close then they kept nerfing it in PTS

Got the NEDur for 1200 berry mentats, and the BE50dr for a rare outfit

Now don't underestimate berry mentats, I've gotten 5 legacies from trading them and I can farm a good 400-600 an hour if I go ham :P

certainly increases the value before 2x weekends

Yes, True. Berry Mentats are one of the most useful drugs in game.

I use it all the time even without EXP boost. Just so I can see enemies behind walls and players in stealth.

I agree they are worth the price. I still don't understand how you can farm 400-600 because the only place that is effective for a berry that has 50% loot chance is in the communist whitespring caves in the "hole" I believe.

Ik they are but they require a component that respawns once 24 hours. Best place for it is in the hole iirc under whitespring but those berries spoil over time so you need to craft them daily. And you need lots of mentats

Firecracker berries Starlight berries and brain Fungus are quite easy to get
use Mappalachia to find em easy
i just wish psychotats was craftable thou now those things are a pain to find

starlight berries seem to be far. That seems to be a big pita to get them imo. Or i am lazy but I think they are placed far from one another. I just visit whitespring to get me 50-60 berry mentats in a single day

yeah can be a pain to farm sometimes thats why i dont bother anymore i just buy all my chems now if i can

Well I go the hills by the mumbles area for 30-70 starlight
I then go to the deep for another 20-50 of them
then I go to the wayward area for another 50-100 of them
then its the rad dump area and the workshop on the top left for another 20-30

firecaps I go to the wayward area for 50-100 of them
then its the monorail elevator for another 6-20
see them randomly in other spots but thats my mains for them

firecracker berries you get 200-400 from the lower middle section of the map
then the hills by the wayward pharmo area is another 40-80

brainfungus is the lower left area for a good 50-100
the tunnel by the town there for another 30-60
rad rumble place for 20-30
the wendigo caves for 100-200 of them
the deep has another 10-20

carrot flowers are literally everywhere, they are a non issue to get enough of, the lower area with firecrackers has tons and tons, if not then hit up the yoga palace and such

chemist + super duper = tons of mentats
repeat for tons of berry mentats

Typically am limited by in order

1- firecaps
2- brainfungus
3- starlight berries
4- firecrackers

by the time you are done you can start them again and get them right away again or hit the burned book house and reset it all anyway

its 255 pickups to have them respawn not 24h

Nah I don't play with any mods or hacks 100% legit

but you get to learn the spots they spawn in

I use a jetpack and move while hovering to get a good sight on things
firecrackers are stupid easy to spot at night too

secretly hoping when they put in the area loot they bug it and you can area loot plants :P

Thanks for the info, I'll stop attempting to craft it since it's impossible. Not sure what to make next... Maybe I'll try to see if a Quad/25% FR/ whatever Flamethrower is better than my Anti-armor one.

The best weapons you can get (IMO)

are

AA ffr 15r fixer
AA 50c 15r fixer
Q ffr 15r fixer
Q 50c 15r fixer
- The fixer can easily be made into a nearly 0 ap cost weapon, so reload wins slot 3... ffr slightly eeks out crit with food with this... full reload speed fixers reload in .5 of a second so are quite close to Q anyway

Q 50c 15r railway
Q ffr 15r railway
TS 50c 15r railway
TS ffr 15r railway
- The railway fires so absurdly fast and has such a small clip that Q really rules here... because it fires so very, very quick the 50c out performs the ffr by a small measure
A TS x x railway can one shot level 100 super mutants, very handy for speed leveling
AA or B would be good, but not vs bosses and are probably close to the same as TS vs supermutants

AA 50c 25v enclave plasma (with flamer)
AA ffr 25v enclave plasma (with flamer)
- the rest of the damage mods don't matter as AA rules bosses and even a nocturnal enclave flamer will melt regular enemies

Q FFR 15r tesla
- the rest of the telsa's don't matter as this weapon exists exclusively to tag rad rumble enemies

Don't taunt me with the Q/FFR/15r tesla rifle. I still want one. I still have my Bloody, explosive, 90% WR .50 Cal if anyone wants to trade that tesla for it hehe.
