Double free store stuff

So i have found out (probably dozens of posts already but i am lazy) that you can get double of anything free in the Atomic shop if you have both the Steam and Windows version installed. i have been getting double items for weeks now :)

is this against any ToS?

I don't even know what's going on with the FREE items everyday. Is there some kind of promotion going on?

I can't imagine anything wrong if it's free. If it was unintentional, then that should be on Bethesda.

All I know is that Atoms you buy from Bethesda's client are separate from Steam's client due to legal reasons. (Steam is Steam Wallet, Bethesda is Bethesda, etc.)

Every day for the last few weeks i have logged in to see "FREE" next to the atomic shop. I can get the item two times by using both Steam and the Windows store version. Not sure if everyone gets the free items but if you do, you can get double :D

So you mean getting the rewards twice for the same account? For the same character? Seems like a loophole in the way the different game versions work.

Does not bother me if you can do it, I'm just not sure they intended it to work that way.

Oh WINDOWS you said, I didn't even know this game was on Windows store.

I'm not about to install three versions of FO76 just to get multiple Atom store stuff though.

Well the game likes to crash at startup, i randomly get stuck in any crafting station and the game is in general the buggiest game i have ever played in my 30 years gaming..so if i found some loophole to screw Bethesda out of money i would never spend. i'll take it ;)

Yes, a few days ago i got 25 of those gold Bullion things free from the store on both the Gamepass PC version and the Steam version for the same character. So 50 Gold bullion.

Like all things Bethesda, it's probably not working as intended and is a bug.

No

atoms are not shared between your accounts on those two different ones

thus atom shop purchases going that way are fine

No

OP is talking about "free" items, not purchases. It might not be intentional.

Its not likely something they planned, but since the atom shops are 100% separated from each other, its something they are completely aware of and are totally fine with.

The purpose of the free items was to make people actually check the atom shop daily, hence 90% of the free item things aren't worth anything (caps, rad away, super stimpack, etc). They would be pleased that you are checking it twice as it help bump the metrics.

ex.
Steam atom shop has 2000 atoms and a free thing
Xbox for windows PC atom shop has 1200 atoms and a free thing

They don't talk to each other so they have no way of knowing what happened on the other one

of course that is the great downfall of modern gaming. expecting devs to make a working, complete game at launch. The reason i only sub to gamepass and pirate everything not on gamepass. Devs have lost my respect and they REALLY need to step up to earn it back.
