Private server & Public

Hey all, so I just got a 1st subscription and I was curios as to how private servers work...

Lets say I wanted to hop back into a public server after playing on a private server, is this possible to do with the same char/ items obtained?

fallout 76 has many online resources such as a wiki page, a subr eddit as well as an official developer website that has a fallout 1st page.

for now yes you can after sept there will be changes made to private and public worlds much info you can find out at bethesdas fallout 76 webpage.

i know if you leave the privet server you have a little time to get back and your stuff will still be there

Yes you keep your stuff / progress hopping between public and private servers. Your private server will reset after around 5 minutes of leaving it. You will lose any workshops you built up and any stuff you put in a world container or dropped on the ground.

Nothing is changing to Private servers.
It's the Fallout worlds servers that are being changed.

really so i wont be able to set up a private server with all kinds of rules and physics and weather and enemy types? thats not a change to you? you must mean regular private worlds fallout 1st adventure alone mode. but i am right where you are not wrong.
you just are not including the other 3 modes that will be available. which are the changes im talking about.

I have Fallout 1st and I hop from Private to Public all the time and all my stuff is there. Items earned and put in stash from either are there no matter Private or Public.

Private servers are not changing.
It's Fallout Worlds that are the new edition.

They will add new stuff to fallout 1st later named fallout world. Its like a private server but you can change the rules in the game. Also won't save progression on characters joining those servers.
