General feedback post. ( will post on the forum later )
Let's start with my credentials regarding fallout 76. My Main character is currently level 278 and my off character is 47. I've been playing fallout 76 since the cataclysmic launch up until now between both the bethesda launcher and now steam. I have not achieved 7600 hours but its the next one on the list in regards to playtime.

This post is just my general thoughts on the current state of the game and what I'd like to see in the future.

Starting with what I think is the current state of the game, quite stale if I may say. While Fallout 76 offers a variety of PVE content currently available in adventure mode, it's possibilities for PVP have become quite narrow and rare leaving the risk involved quite low.

Initially when Fallout 76 was in it's early days, it was easier to accumulate a large bounty and not uncommon to find players with insane values of up to or even exceeding 1000 caps on their heads from their actions. While the road to getting such an alluring bounty was paved with the tears of some players, it was in my opinion a fun part of the game that we've essentially lost for the most part. At most, you may see a player with a 5 or 10 cap bounty on their head.

Workshop PvP feels quite strange, while I can initiate pvp with the owner or their entire party, my party cannot engage with me anymore. This creates a lot of 4v1 scenarios and has once again become a rare part of fallout 76. The moments I get to actually fight or defend a workshop have become a once or twice a month experience for me and has yet again added to my woes. Workshop pvp's rework was the core reason a few friends no longer currently play 76 because its not longer really possible to do 4v4 workshop pvp.

We don't talk about Nuclear winter, that was already hot garbage and at least it's finally getting taken out and the time spent from the devs can narrow down to the actual game and not some other experience entirely. To me, fallout 76 is an ARPG where you craft your builds and equipment and test yourself against the world, constantly trying to pursue greater feats of power with your character.

What I will state here is that while I miss some of these parts of 76, I also know that it was due to griefers attacking newer players or solo players that our pvp experience is where its at today. It has become a limited experience in order to protect the playerbase to an extent.

What do I want to see going forwards?

Firstly, I want the ability to actually que in for some kind of conflict between players or adding an area on the map that is just always pvp and thus always a risk. Where players cannot be seen on the world map, regardless of sneaking. Having a zone, say in the Ashe waste, where the goal is to have players in a PVEVP setting trying to attain a resource, not a required one but lets say large amounts of junk, while trying to fight off mole men and players would be quite fun to kill time. No Script or Legendaries needed, just give me a fun excuse to go and fight other players in a region and maybe try to get some junk while I'm there.

Battlegrounds perhaps? If the dev team is more serious than perhaps each week they can mark a region on the map as a conflict zone, either between the crater raiders and foundation or the BOS and blood eagles, ect and let players choose whom to fight for when they arrive to help their chosen side win that conflict zone. It could be an event that is started either randomly or by a player in order to initiate conflict but also not be completely isolated from the rest of 76.

Lastly, I would love to see workshop PVP restored. In my opinion, workshops are not an essential part of fallouts core loop, Loot, craft and conflict repeat but instead Workshops provide an opportunity for passive collection of materials to help reduce the time you invest into attaining more of a particular resource. I feel like there should be more risk once again in holding a workshop regardless if you're solo or in a group. If you're lower level, you should be encouraged to form a party with other players if you're afraid of a higher level player. We're not all powerful, even with a legacy weapon, you can still kill a goliath.

Additionally make Workshop defence events harder but not longer, to encourage new players to stay away from them until they feel they're ready.

In the current state of Fallout 76, the Adventure mode has become to feel more like a themepark than a wasteland. No longer are players, in my experience, motivated in anyway to be hostile towards each other due to the lack of rewards or mechanics involved.

We don't want to drop orbital strike grenades on a wooden house, we want to PVP without having to lockpick an object to get a measly 5 cap bounty within the confines of a player camp or workshop. Give us players more opportunity to engage eachother in PVP without having to deal with players who just have pacifist mode on at all hours.

We want conflict with each other but not in the confines of a separate entity such as nuclear winter on a more dynamic field.

No, we clearly do not, which is why the PvP has been getting removed. It's not popular. People do not like it.

Bluntly, this is a bad game for PvP. The balance is way off and the Devs can't or won't make it better in that aspect.
