Fullscreen+Gsync fix. 20-30% Performance boost!
So I've been doing some tweaking the last two days and noticed something seriously wrong. In the Fallout76.ini in your documents folder, the game will overwrite this file everytime you launch the game, even if you set it to read only. To fix this, you need to do a couple things.

First, go to your Steam installation folder and go to steamapps>common>fallout76 and find the Fallout76.ini file. Go into this and change to Fullscreen only. Fullscreen= 1 Borderless = 0.

Then, go to your Documents and open Fallout 76. In the Fallout 76.ini change the same values. Fullscreen= 1 Borderless = 0. After you make these changes right click on the Fallout76.ini, go to properties and set it to "Read Only". The game would change to Borderless on every launch, and if it was on Read Only it would simply delete the file and load the default file from the game folder. Now, if it overwrites, it will overwrite with the proper saved setting for Fullscreen. This improved my FPS drops from 65-138 capped in Flatwoods to 90-138 capped.

You also need to change your Fallout76prefs.ini so that it is set to Fullscreen= 1 Borderless = 0 as well. Leave iPresentInterval on 1 for Vsync On, or 0 for Vsync Off. You DO NOT need to set this file to "Read Only". If you turn Vsync off be sure to enable it via your Nvidia Control Panel. Never leave Vsync off even on a Gsync/Gsync compatible display as this can cause screen tearing on some games regardless of VRR being on.

By default, Fallout 76 does not have Gsync support enabled. To enable it you will need to download Nvidia Inspector and force it on through the Fallout 76 profile. In the upper left drop down box Type in Fallout 76 and select it. Turn on Gsync compatible and this should force Gsync on at a driver level and will add Gsync Compatible to the Fallout 76 profile in the Nvidia control panel.

Enjoy your Gsync, and enjoy your FPS boost! Sucks this game is still not optimized properly but at least there are some simple fixes to get everything working as it should. =)

Its not needed to modify 3 files, the changes you do to fallout76prefs.ini completely overwrite the settings in other inis.
