since wastelanders its kinda just the way everything thinks
they salvaged a waste of a game and made it good
its been super well reviewed AFTER the wasteland update but its dilluted by the pre wasteland update reviews
I skipped last season and came back to quite a few nice changes that made it even better.
. . .the worst thing, the game runs like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dream in Vault 76 and suckers you in to getting excited about what you will be experiencing once you leave the vault.
Also the loot weight mechanics really turn it into a chore for many of us.
+1
It was pretty bad at first. Then they added the purveyor. Then you had the gold items added. So it has been improving bit by bit.
This last patch with the ability to craft legendary pieces of gear of the type you want is a drastic improvement. Sure it might be an RNG crap shoot to get the exact stats you want, but at least you can get the right type.
Now the hacking part I agree on 100%, the main problem was when they allowed all those people to keep duped legacy weapons. Think about it, Diablo II from like the 90s could detect duped items. The problem was with such a bad release they could not afford to anger the player base taking them away even though most of them knew they were receiving duped items.
Then you have the ridiculously hacked weapons which kinda irritates me that it still happens. However I understand that importing a single player engine to multiplayer was a bad idea security wise. A true MMO usually has preventative security built right into the code form the start. If you are familiar Red Dead Redemption II did the same single to multiplayer port move and issues far worse with hacking.
Exactly. Fallout with a more personal, persistent and continuing storyline is a damned no brained. Yet, what did we get out of Quakecon? ANOTHER release of Skyrim. Optimization for FO76? Nope. But sure we'll release another version of a game that is on everything including Alexa for gods sake.
The cash shop must be pulling in some crazy cash because otherwise I can't see how this title would still exist otherwise.
