Private World and Workshops
It seems detrimental to have a private world and lose all progress concerning workshop occupation once you log out. I can understand private worlds being that way but private worlds seems eh. Am i missing something?

The issue is the way Bethesda chose to execute "private worlds". A private world is really just a private server where only you (and your friends) rent for the duration of your play time. Once the last person logs off the server, you're done renting it.

I think Bethesda would have been better off allowing people to set up permanent standing servers where all their construction in workshops could have remained intact but that's not what they did.

Yep.

You are missing out on the fact you are avoiding losing it in PVP.

You are missing out on the fact if you disconnect from a public server you may not be able to get back to that specific server.

Technically you have a 5-10 minute window before the server is gone. Which allows you to swap characters on a private world and keep your workshops, sorta.

So in other words there is trade offs.

I would say it would be bad for the economy to do it that way. Yet we have an economy entirely based upon duped legacy weapons (considering 90% of them are duped.)

bethesda would have been better off? hahahahah workshops are garbage time wasters for lazy people.

I just started playing, so they charge you 18$ a month for a 8person multiplayer server that isn't even up 24/7 ? That's incredible. The actual hosting price of a typical 24/7 eight person server is around 5$ a month. Bethesda really just can't help but rip off their fan base...

I mean hes not wrong here

Workshops don't serve a purpose EXCEPT during holiday scorched events where you can plant down a santa bot at each and get extra presents

otherwise the return on investment just isn't worth it, you can get much better returns elsewhere for your time and effort
