How do I change spawn location when fast travelling to my camp?

I choose to put my base on a cliff. 99% of my base is hanging off a cliff but due to the camp's spawn location I keep falling and dying when i choose this location.

I believe you can move the camp module around your camp to randomly change where you spawn but you cant choose exactly where you want to spawn

You can try moving your camp device, IIRC spawn point is 20-30 meters north, maybe slightly north-east-ish from camp device. Depending on your camp orientation it might be impossible to get safe spawn point, cliff sides are a bit problematic camp spots due that.

Yea I thought the welcome mat was supposed to do that but apparently not ? Is it a Plan ?

Welcome mat works in workshops but not camps.

Don't live on a cliff.

Or wear power armor when you fast travel I guess.

Indeed you need to move your CAMP module around your camp and experiment with the arrival locations which result from different placements. There is no guarantee you can achieve the desired location with a cliff, but, you should be able to as long as the North end of your base is not open air.
