Actually, there is a rule about that.

Well, a guideline:

- If the people you're defending are unable to fight for themselves, then it's good to step up.
- If they *are* able to defend themselves - which any communist with an internet connection can do here - then you're *just wasting your own mental resources*. Be available for mental/emotional support by all means, but speaking for others who *don't need to be spoken for* is just another form of disempowerment, however well-intentioned it may be.

SOURCE: I'm in a minority group (and that's all I want to share about that) and I'm a leftist. That's usually completely irrelevant of course (I'm pretty sure we're all just here to shoot stuff), but I thought you might like some context for my statements. I'm not trying to shoot you down, I completely get where you're coming from.

Wanting to be an ally is good. It shows empathy (I'm assuming you're not trolling, and even if you are, someone else might read this).

Unfortunately there IS a wrong way to be an ally. Your post is the literal embodiment of the 'He's a little confused, but he's got the spirit' meme. I really do dig that you want to be inclusive but *this isn't your battle*.

These communists are *clearly* tankies (communists who want to use military force to achieve their goals) which means they're fair game, because they're more than ready to kill others. As the companion Beckett says (it's something like this, this isn't the exact quote): "Live and let live. Unless they want to kill you, in which case, you kill them first."

OP, please *never lose your desire to be inclusive*. I only ask that you consider tempering it - if only for your own mental health. This world is crazy and we need more people like you, because that's how positive long-term change happens: Not by winning wars of weapons or words, but by simply existing within the world as an example to others.

Side note: You're allowed to ignore all of this and live your own life however you see fit. But there are plenty of real battles you'll need to face, especially as you get older (I'm assuming you're under 20, sorry if I'm wrong) - best to save your time and energy for them, I think.

There is no rule against it, this isn't China. It's only immoral, not illegal. But getting offended on behalf of a group you don't belong to is pretty bigoted in itself. You take away their agency and diminish the value of their own opinions.

Besides, there's no reason to support a government composed of manchildren that make criticism illegal and don't understand satire. Satire in a 20+ year old game series focusing around political satire, no less
