What counts as a costume?

I noticed there are a few wearable masks as rewards in the new season board, so I'm wondering whether one of those masks is sufficient to get score points for "[doing an activity] while wearing a costume".

i suppose the wiki might allude to whats a costume but... i have a silver shroud outfit. i was wearing power armor and still got tallies for killing things.
i also wore a mask from the scoreboard. i think its the unstoppables outfit itself and not the mask or hats if any because not all costumes have a hat eh? grognaks costume dosent have either and triggers the challenges. now would halloween costumes count? clown suit? strongmans outfit? i got my costume challenge filled... i cant test it now ;(
