two shot explosive minigun is a blast. but for me it seems to be very prone to rubberbanding health. i havn't had one to test, but i'd bet a anti armor explosive would be better

Even normal miniguns do rubberbanding health for me.

Miniguns are pone to weapon breaks. Combine that with two shot and explosive you are going to need a very high gunsmith and luck of the draw.

Two shot heavy weapons require a VATS build which greatly reduce their DPS compared to non-VATS due to lower firing rating because of AP usage. No VATS with two shot means half your bullets will miss, Action hero .50 cal was a good example.

What you want it an Armor Piercing Explosive minigun with faster firing rate. It will require a lot of weapon repair due to explosive, but not nearly as much as two shot.

two shot does mean you will be less accurate, but with stabilized i can def land most of my shots, i do not in any way NEED vats
i would still take anti armor explosive over it though

Stabilized does not increase accuracy enough to keep that second shot from straying outside VATS. As I said before The Action Hero was a two-shot .50 caliber that was best before Final Word that thing had shots spray all over.

two shot does reduce accuracy yes. so yes, comparing a two shot to regular minigun the regular can maintain high hit rate at longer ranges. but with stabilized i can use the gun without vats, manually aiming comfortably
i'm not trying to use my minigun at long range

.50 cal has poor accuracy to begin with. I always wondered why people liked them as some of the shots would leave the barrel at angles that were clearly impossible even without Two Shot. I'd guess that a two-shot Minigun has the same accuracy as a base .50 Cal.

Either way, we all agree that Anti-Armor is better for the Minigun due to how Defense works.

Heavy guns are hard to use in vats or atleast it was for me , I ran 2 shot explosives for ever and the trick with those guns is Formula P , You can stack it , 3 or 4 shots and you get pinpoint gun accuracy , you should see it in action with my Legacy gat plazma , Its insane
