Mods for pepper shaker are sold in foundation, crater, vault 79 and afaik Minerva sells them too.

At least one of the barrel mods is bugged and causes enemy health rubberbanding, I think it was single barrel but could be single and double both. Hex should work.

Single is SUPER buggy, double is alright.

Yea, the double is easier to handle your ammo distribution. The hex gobbles up ammo like a fat kid eating cake!

Addendum: I went and did some tests with the other barrels, it looks like the rubber banding on the default, double , and hex are all about the same (about 5-10% of outgoing shots, roughly speaking - nothing to really write home about). Single barrel is pretty much the opposite and going full auto on something with it is a sure way to get nothing done.

So yeah, double is probably the way to go still.
