Fusion generator

If i setup a fusion generator at my camp will that generate fusion cores for my power armor or will it just act as a massive generator for my camp? Thanks!

You cannot auto-create fusion cores at your camp. The only way to get them is to find them in the wild, do quests that rewards them, craft them yourself (very expensive to do), or capture and power up a workshop at a nuke plant and power the fusion core processor. That will generate fusion cores as long as it has 100 power.

Additionally, you can set up a fusion generator at the southern power plant workshop and generate fusion cores, its a bit slow but, if you really need them that's a sure fire way. Put a lock on it if you plan on leaving the WS area.

Use the Poseidon Power Plant for fusion cores. However, don't build a separate generator to power it or the locals will destroy it while you are away. Repair the power plant and then stick one of those nipple electrical connectors on the side of the fusion core builder. Run a wire from the power plant electrical box (near the locked door) to that connector.

Every time I did it this way, the locals don't destroy the fusion core builder. Just go off and do whatever. Come back every 15 mins or so and harvest your cores. No muss. No fuss.

You can get fusion cores by crafting gatling lasers. No flux needed. Same method works when you need a large amount of gauss ammo for the gauss minigun.
