How the ♥♥♥♥ do I beat the vault 79 sentry bot

I'm doing this ♥♥♥♥ solo and just got to lvl 50 and im getting my ass destroyed by a 3 star legendary sentry bot that just ♥♥♥♥♥ out one shot rockets at me, is there a way to tone down the difficulty or some thing?

Nope. It is what it is. I typically just avoid them and snipe at them from stealth.

Yes, stay on the upper levels and snipe also use grenades.

For Sentry bots avoid damage till they overheat, then get behind and aim for fusion cores.

I mean its bullshittingly hard to fight the one in the vault, let alone a normal sentrybot, the one in the vault is a 3 star legendary like wtf

automatic railway rifle shreds sentry bots in vats, auto tesla rifle shreds, 50 cal machinegun shreds, automatic rifle shreds

i mean once you realize the metagame is just waste ammo you aren't gonna have prombles, singleshot weapons are a joke unless you stack effects

It's a Robot. Cripple the offense, it explodes.

You can even kill it with a .38 pipe pistol from sniper range if you have Crack Shot and Modern Renegade.

+1. I find a shotgun with the enforcer perk makes quick work of any bot, including sentry bots. IIRC it took me about 4 or 5 shots to make that particular bot blow itself up when i did that quest.

Edit. Also if you dont know already, as long as you deal damage to them you can still loot a bot after it blows itself up.

I destroyed it with my vampire .50 in the face.Most things i take face on even earl.

Don't go face to face it, I remember I was around 40-50 level when I doing it and couldn't stop dying because I keep going face to face with it (I played Rifleman with Combat Rifle), so I change to sniper rifle and took some time running around or wait for it to cooldown instead and it work great for me.

It's random spawn. It is frequently not legendary. IF that's the issue Server Hop.

If you have the V.A.T.S part selection perk, then aim at the fusion cores and shoot to gain 1% accuracy and then shoot the cores with a crit, it's an instant kill against any Sentry Bot
