How the ♥♥♥♥ do I beat the vault 79 sentry bot

I'm doing this ♥♥♥♥ solo and just got to lvl 50 and im getting my ass destroyed by a 3 star legendary sentry bot that just ♥♥♥♥♥ out one shot rockets at me, is there a way to tone down the difficulty or some thing?

I did that yesterday at lvl 68. Power armor and the final word. Just standing right in front and blasting him to pieces.

Same. PA + AA Gatling plasma + med-x + psychobuff. Tough Im lv.155.

Okay what the ♥♥♥♥ I finally beat the sentry after reading some helpful tips you guys gave and when it finally died (after mutating and killing me multiple times) the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ body just disappeared. like what the actual ♥♥♥♥ I spent almost an hour killing it and it just disappeared, I'm genuinely pissed I don't know where to cry about this

to be honest here if you struggle to kill enemies in the game most probably your build isnt right and you need to have that optimized, get better guns, some buffs. I cant exact advice as my chara just blasts anything into pieces but then again I havent played anything else other than power armor heavy gunner

Robotic legendarys self destruct and disintigrate. It sux I know but it prolly didn't have anything worthwhile anyways. 1 star pitchfork or something like that.

It's random spawn. It is frequently not legendary. IF that's the issue Server Hop.

true. facing a 3star is a bit unfortunate, considering that there are other robots too. stay out of the sentrybots lof and finish off the mob and turret first. you are relatively safe if you go back where you came from. then go back in, do some damage and retreat again for healing, reloading, buffing or crying. repeat until you can collect you three star legendary rolling pin...

I subtract a little over 80% of the armour off things, so I just shoot their face and they die

just playing the mission right now. there was one little eyebot in the room with gale, rara and the other bloke and gale was unloading about 15 minigun magazines on it. not kidding. it took her about 5 minutes to take the little bugger down. that was obviously too much to take for the sensitive bethesda software. the intercom to the room is now entirely down and there is no way to proceed with the quest. bethesda devs, do the world a favor, take all that fallout 1st money, shove it up your butt and retire.

I took it down in a few minutes with a .44 Revolver. Destroyed it's legs. Destroyed the machine gun. Destroyed the missile launcher.

It exploded. Just like I said it would in post #10.

i mean once you realize the metagame is just waste ammo you aren't gonna have prombles, singleshot weapons are a joke unless you stack effects

A man who gets it - a goto weapon should be a gatling or a minigun, it'll do the damage quickly and efficiently, i use the one shot for singles.

Honestly, I suggest having a medic on your team. Literally makes you invincible as long as you protect them and they don't get into fights they can't handle.

the sentry bot was not the problem. he lasted less than a minute against a lvl 35 one star anti-armor .50 cal machinegun and a few plasma grenades, although the 3 star bot was 13 levels higher than the weapon. slowly crippling extremities is for perverts. i like it quick, clean and thourough.
anyway, the reason for my pervious post was, to share that epic battle between gale and her minigun and that little eyebot that was trapped in the same room with her. she has won. eventually... i lost, because that broke the mission and i had to reenter the vault from scratch.
