Should I get the Gauss Pistol?
I'm not a gunslinger build, but I was just thinking it would break up the monotony on occasion. I could easily add 3 points for rank 1 gunslinger, expert gs and master gs and switch into them when I want a change.

Would most consider that a waste of bullion? I can always get more gold after all.

Save the Bullion for Steel Dawn.

Yeah I'd Save it. If not Spec'd for it, just a Vanity thing.

If you are not a gunslinger build its worthless to get and is about as effective as carrying a quad revolver. With a gunslinger build thow its very powerful I can get 1200+ damage crits on my pistol build.

Is it really worthless w/o gunslinger build? Not even remotely useful in the context of having something different than slinging tons of lead with my heavy guns occasionally?

I suppose that with the BOS dlc coming out, I will save my limited amount of bullion (haven't been playing too long so I don't have much bullion) and see what new stuff comes with the DLC.

I just think it would be somewhat fun using the guass pistol, even if it's not OP because of a lack of my character being a dedicated build for it.

So, after all that I have conveyed in this thread, would it still be an ill-advised purchase?

Not really, I have it just because I needed to spend some gold since I was at the cap, it's not really worth it and the rng sucks on it.

Pistol in the BoS patch, if you wanted a Pistol.

Sidearms suck in this game, just go with the Gauss Rifle.
The faster charge of the pistol is not that noticeable, but the damage difference is.

Only use gold bullions on stuff you will use on your character. If you never going to use pistols, then its useless since you can't trade those items to other players. But I would save the gold bullions for gauss minigun, or shotgun when you have higher rep. Maybe buy some secret service armors aswell.

I'd probably say the secret service armor. Not sure about pistol, but I've found the shotgun and minigun to be underwhelming. The gauss shotgun has plenty of power, but the spread sucks. Gauss minigun is annoying to keep after due to unfriendly ammo upkeep and durability.

I'd rate the existing gauss rifle, mini gun, gatlin gun and ultracite gatling laser higher than the bullion gauss weapons.

I'm not specd for heavy guns anymore, but even still the gauss minigun has been handy for tagging the SBQ, and for line in the sand farming since I don't have an explosive weapon. But yeah, it's annoying having to get ammo, even its just a handful of daily ops.

Assuming the leaks have covered all the weapons coming out, it looks like the only weapons worth saving bullion for are melee weapons. War Glaive (2hd) and Plasma Cutter (1hd).

the shotgun and minigun are great, the pistol is useless, buyed the plan so i get something for my melee vs towers and such that are out of reach, but the low range plus the need to laod it up for at least flimsy damage made me regret it, if you search for a nonespec sidearm revolver are the way to go.
@Halcy WarGlaive is already in the game, reward plan from Daily Ops....

I've done quite a few Daily Ops. I haven't seen it. I guess it's one of those .01% drop items.
