Plans
After you have learned a plan is it necessary to keep it? I was surprised by how much weight a lot of plans take up. Besides vendors do you just drop them after you learn them and free up some stash.
Thanks for reply's.

most random ones just chunk in a vendor for 5 caps or drop on the floor, but some plans you should keep to resell, like the fixer or any other rare plans

Reading a plan destroys it. If you find it again and it says known, that means you’ve already read it and it can be disposed of.

Like the sbq ones always the same. I was curious whether apart from vendors and rare plans what most did with their plans.
I haven't bothered with becoming a vendor though I have dropped doubled up plans to random vendors or Whitesprings staion before.
Thanks.

Habitually, weapon plans sell good, deep pockets, some mods for melee, receipes (not the common ones), drug receipes at low prices/50 caps, Daily Ops stuff sell good too ... . Others can add to this ... .

No. Once you learn a plan it should be consumed and disappear. I put alles learned plans in my vendor, unless it's an utterly useless plan like Metal Bed, Mole Miner Gauntlet or Mr. Handy Buzzblades

No, plans stay under notes and have known in brackets once learned. And stay with you until you do something with them. I normally just move them to my stash every now and then. But if you have a couple of hundred their weight really adds up. More curious for what non vendors did.
It was cleanup time for my stash as its full and I don't have Fallout 1St.

Plans weight .25 so unless it's a rare or expensive plan that you put in a vendor to sell for caps, There is zero need to sit on them.

Just to clarify things as well. If you find a plan that you don't already know, it just shows the name as "Plan: xxxxx". When you read that plan, it is destroyed. If you find a second copy of that plan, it will be named "(Known) Plan: xxxx". If it's a common plan, don't even bother picking it up, or drop it as soon as you can.

Many players will drop their known plans in suitcases at the train stations so other people can learn them.

Wrong. Once you learn plans they are consumed. If you have a (known) plan you had to have picked it up from loot or earned it as rewards

Sorry, see above. I understand now what you meant, to me after learning it was still kept as known.
Thanks for replying, you can be a reasonable level but still have gaps in your knowledge. Usually requires flashing lights and loud warning alarms for me to notice things.

It's cool. Sorry if I sounded rude. God speed brother.

Plans you already know are a great gift for lower level players; if you intend on a second character it could be wise to save a copy of each plan, unless you really wanna build em from zero.

I put every plan I have up for sale for just 10 Caps. Its mainly so new players can get them for cheap, as that is how I got most of mine early on in the game. I dont care how Rare it is I charge the same. My shop is mostly set up to just try and sell things cheap for players who need it. Later on Caps are rather worthless and the only reason I even charge is so that myself and the buyer can get the Daily since it doesnt count zero cost items.

One thing to be aware of is every now and again some known plans bug out and become unknown.

It has happened in the past to flamingoes, a desk and I noticed just yesterday that a character had a magazine rack showing as unlearned despite having several in camps and able to build more.

Keeping up with what each patch has broken is a constant struggle.
