Can I leave the Power Armor at my camp? Will people steal it or is it safe to put it next to my camp?

You can leave it in your stash and leaving it in the open will make it be recalled back to your inventory.

Unless you DROP your PA from your inventory with R button, the PA counts as owned item which cannot be stolen and/or equipped by anyone except for the owner.

In other words, as long as you use E button to deploy your PA, you're safe. Even if you'll leave it standing just like this and try to run away from it, the frame with all the pieces on it will magically teleport back into your inventory, so you cannot lose it accidentially.

Still waiting for the PA display stand!

OP, as long as you don't "drop" it its fine to leave it anywhere. Even in doorways to lock people in, handy when you want to do the Burrows alone and some one shot keeps taking all the legends.

Great clarification, my first month of F76 for the R key I lost my first scavenger PA and the newly received T51 ultracite, left and lost in Fort Defiance. :-)

Even if you place it in a Power station it will teleport back to your inventory?

And I thought someone stole my PA, not that it really bothers me.

In Fallout 4, I could just get out of my power armor, then hop back in when I need it. (A lot like GTA V, getting out of a car in your garage, then you get back in and drive, easy peasy.)

In Fallout 76, the game recalls my power armor to my inventory, making the pieces cease to exist while the server figures out WTF it's doing. So apparently, Bethesda thinks it's a good idea to rebuild the armor every time I want to use it. Imagine playing GTA V, and you need to build a car every time you drive.

I haven't played this game in 3 years, and I'm starting to remember why I hated it.

Hmm I never have to rebuild the PA when it gets recalled. Now when it gets recalled and is my inv it shows no armor in it when I look at it but when I put it on all the armor pieces are still there. It makes it a pain the @$$ because if you have different setups you dont know which is which till you put it on.

I think you might be able to rename power armor chassis
Try inspecting it and seeing if there is a rename option

if you place PA it will go back to your inventory after the recall timer, IF u drop it like youd drop a weapon or gear if you do not reenter/reclaim before leaving the server then it poofs
also as stated above seems like youre just using a different frame each time and renaming them to keep track should solve the issue with pieces resetting

Yes, you can rename your PA frames. It is imperative for anyone who has more than one frame on their person or in their stash.

Options are;

Put the PA in your Stash Box. PA parts on a frame only weigh 10 lb in your Stash.

Use a PA display rack to display the PA in your Camp. The display racks come up in the Atomic shop fairly often.

Edit; I rename all 4 of my extra frames Fred. Fred 1, Fred 2, Fred 3, Fred 4.
