very annoying Steam , fallout 76 will not launch!

Fallout 76 will NOT launch in steam. This is after doing a clean format of the PC.
I've installed the latest updates on my Win 10 machine, all drivers are up to date.
My pc spec are better the recommended requirements. Other games like BFV run smooth like butter, but Fallout 76 will not launch! Steam support (if there is such a thing, Please Help)
I’ve uninstalled the game and installed it back. I’ve done the “Verify integrity of game files” check as well, twice. The game will just not launch, when I click on the fallout 76 icon, a small steam pop up opens up for a briefly second and then it immediately disappears (I know this to be normal because it would do that before this formatting).
I’ve paid for the expansion as well as the fallout 1st “expansion” as well. PLEASE HELP

Steam support is the Support tab at the top. You could contact Bethesda support via their website to see if it works.

They might just tell you to run as administrator.

Does it run via the Bethesda Net launcher?

I never had to run it with Bethesda Net launcher before, why should it need it now? (i've played the game for over 250+ hours without the Bethesda Net launcher)

I'll try the admin, but i dont believe it will make any difference

Because if it runs on Bethesda Net launcher, then it's Steam, if it still doesn't run, it's something else.

I think Bethesda Net launcher has a repair function, similar to Steam's. I think the only thing left to do is contact Bethesda support via their website with and logs you can find from the launcher and any other files requested by support.

if you have only one computer with the entire steam archive, before permanently deleting all the steam data there would be a procedure to save important data.

Was going to post this. I'm fairly certain this is a DirectX issue. It causes the same issue with several games all doing the same thing. Click Play, nothing really happens and the Play button resets.

after running dxdiag, says Direct X version 12.. already installed. Still no play, any other ideas?

Do you get an error if you start the game from the game folder?

Edit: Think you need to install directX11, directX12 comes with windows but files from the older ones won't come with it. Usually steam install the older directx files for the game if they require it.

yes as a matter of fact i do. Assuming the following is the correct path, "Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout76\Fallout76.exe"

I get the following Two errors:
"The code excution cannot proceed because X3DAudio1_7.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

AND
"The code excution cannot proceed because XINPUT1_3.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."
