For right now, at the start of the game the hunger and thirst meters can be a pain but rather quickly you can get perks to help with all aspects of it. Lower spoilage of food in inventory, food or drinks give more towards the meter, lower the rate your hunger and thirst meter go down during parts of the day and also lower the rate by 80% while at your camp or a claimed workshop. Out of all the survival type games I have played with this type system, FO76 is one of the easiest to manage but they wont be an issue for much longer from my understanding.
there ar emany ways to negate this debuff to the point it barely occurs.
as well as the developers for what ever reason deciding to remove the debuffs so you can eat and rink if you want the buffs but if you forget it wont give the debuffs and frankly i think thats a crock of bull.
the survival elements that need to be fixed are the wearing power armor and getting slapped by a ghoul and getting a disease from it. thats just stupidly stupid how that can happen ive earned my way into a level 50 suit of POWER ARMOR. yet even a stupid molerat soemhow bites into my leg thru the thick power armor and infects me EVERY TIME. it snot like oh maybe ill get sick if i dont insta kill everything. its oh that ghoul is goign to hit me and sick registers. never the 2 i need to fill the challenge out no the same ones over and over. its nto even funny, its annoying, see mole rat, open wheel check how many cures i have in my pocket as the mole rat hit me and i get sick i heal get bit again get sick again but i have deisease resitance of 25 % here 25% there and 50 percent over here with this buff... thats 100 percent how in pa with resistances up that high is one bite or slap getting me infected EVERY FREEKING TIME?
idk i cant fathom how a blood bug can open a door as well. or a wild dog. how does this work exactly? they hafve a deal with the ghould and carry around a spare ghoul arm that they bite and it grasps door knobs for them?
drinking and eating is by far the easiest of the survival metrics. theres no cold or hot metrics. just get sick from swimming even though you have a perk that lets you swim underwater with out air...
and your wearing a mask that prevents airbonre sicknesses... spend 3 seconds in the water and parisites. . . i used to have a nice boat house with a dock and a fishing boat tied up...
problem was the spawn poitn for fast travel was in the water. no matter how i arranged that camp unit it kept the ft point int he water. after spending two days buidling said camp. i left to sell stuff to a bot, ft back intot he water. not even 3 seconds right off the bat. spawn in see im in water auto parasites. go away again to the other side of the camp to see if ill spawn on land...nope same spot in the water, parasites now live in me gain less than a minute later im sick again. resistances from cure in effect, gas mask on... full under suit of vault tec branding... how does this occur so often? idk anf i dont gaf. i moved my camp and try not to go swimming or let ghouls hit me in pa as much as possible and i make or carry way to much carry weight of cures then i think i should have to carry.
Oh nice then. I was just worried it's lean too hard into the survival side of things. I guess nothing's stopping me from trying the game now.
