An Ounce of Prevention quest broken?

I got the fuse and the blood sample but the quest won't let me analyze the sample. The computer says that I do not have a sample in the centrifuge.

Log out of the game and back in, that fixed it for me.

log out of the server ur on then log back it should work. happenend to me too.

I tried logging out/in and quitting/restarting the game. No help... I'll just try the quest again tomorrow.

On your new login, just install Type-T Fuse then log out immediately (DO NOT go to to terminal this time)

Then log in again (as per Bethesda support site suggest, try "different server"), install Type-T Fuse once again, and now go to terminal to analyze the blood sample.

Tried it a few times (relogging, reinstalling T-Fuse, looking at terminal, NOT looking at terminal, etc), with every combination possible. Doesn't work. It also only asked me for one blood sample (ghoul) and not the three mentioned here (and on the wiki). I'm pretty sure what breaks this quest is putting the blood in the centrifuge before installing the T-Fuse, but theres literally no way for the player to fix that after the fact.

Also, the link points to a completely different bug and the upcoming Patch 21 that will fix this was actually 3 days before this was posted?

Well,i with my friend got the same bug. We both got at quest - collect only ghoul blood. And when put T-Fuse and insert blood,terminal says not blood.So in fact we both stuck at main quest line,cant re-start quest or somehow alert quest. And its sucks cuz i dont want make new character and start game over from plain start point.Really dont have any solution for this crap?

Hmm.. I thought for that quest you need a ghoul blood, molerat blood and T-fuse

In fact (says in wiki) u need 3 different types of blood,not one how it was for my quest.and now i cant collect other 2 types and cant get terminal working cuz ghould blood i inserted and thats it.

The quest has changed... only requires one type of blood now. Anyway, I waited a day and the quest worked for me.

No amount of server hopping nor time seems to fix it for me. Its still busted.

*Edit: And then I tried it a FOURTH time, just for the heck of it, and it suddenly worked. O.o

I did that quest after update 20 and it worked but I needed three blood samples, Feral Ghoul, Molerat and Wolf. Try acquiring all three samples even though it is only asking you for one.

It might be that the description is broke but not the quest. I also think you have to press R on the corpse or something like that to retrieve samples.

I experience the same problem with this quest. Will try again tomorrow or else hope it will be fixed in next patch :)

I wish. I tried logging out and in repeatedly, including exiting the game, and it did not work. Tried some of the other suggestions as well but they also did not work. I'll just try it a few times whenever I log in with the character that's got the bugged quest, and then go do other stuff until they fix it.

They changed the quest recently but they did not change all of the text on the terminal. You only need Feral Ghoul blood.

EDIT: Today I logged in and went directly to the terminal without firing a shot or doing anything else. I tried to process the sample without installing the fuse or reading any of the other entries but it failed. I did nothing except immediately exit the server. I re-joined right away. Once again I went directly to the terminal and did nothing other than selecting the process sample option and it worked. Then I installed the fuse and was able to progress and complete this step of the quest line. For those who don't know yet there's a side door that you can enter that basically starts you by the stairwell you need to take to get to the terminal. If you enter this door while crouched you can usually get through to the terminal without a fight. Hope this helps at least a few of you until they fix the issue.
