Can power armor be stolen from my C.A.M.P?

I've been looking online for answers and I'm getting yes and no, so I'm a little confused.

Specifically, can I place a PA workstation in my base, place my PA on it and then not worry about it being yoinked? It's taking up a TON of space in my inventory/stash so I really need a way to leave it somewhere when I'm not using it.

Here's the trick. Take the power armor frame and deploy it. That places it out on the ground. Ready for you to get in. Don't do it. Now go to frame and transfer the pieces back in. You can't pick it up because you're not high enough level. You can't get in because you're not high enough level. What can you do?

Absolutely nothing. And I'm not being sarcastic or negative. You do nothing at all, except for maybe sit there and stare longingly at the frame that you can't pick up. Except after 30 seconds you're going to get a message that says "Power Armor frame will be recalled in 60 seconds". You get another one at 30 seconds, and one at 10. And then the magic happens. The Power Armor Frame that you can't get into, and can't pick up, automatically pops into your inventory from the world.

You've got the frame and all of the pieces in your inventory, but it only weighs 10 pounds. You can drop that into your stash if you want, or just carry it around. When you find another piece. Just deploy the frame, transfer the part from the new frame into your inventory, then into the old frame and when it recalls. You're that much closer to having a complete set.

Just be careful with the next set you find because you don't want to enter it. If you do, then you will own that frame as well and it will recall into your inventory after 90 seconds.

If you ever want to rid yourself of a frame, you can scrap it at a work bench, or you can just drop it on the ground. Dropping looks like deploy, except while deploy means you keep the pink slip on the frame, drop means you're abandoning it. So a dropped frame can be picked up by anyone.

Deployed frame will be in your inventory if you get dropped from a server. Dropped frame will be gone for good if you get dropped.
