Yeah, the new update would have broken alot of mods, including anything that changes item entries...
There was another post about FAILED LOOKUP errors, which is a common issue related to item sorting mods... In fact, it would happen in FO4 with certain item sorting mods too...
And you are right that because of people like you, we will be getting over monetization in most bethesda games from now on. I hope you are happy with that. I don't really care, doubt i will ever buy one of their games anyway. Pretty funny you think that atoms are in the top sellers list.
Have fun in your dying game.
You do realise Steam is the reason those free copies do not count towards reviews, don't you? *facepalm*
It's Steam's practice to not count them on any game review... This had nothing to do with Bethesda...
Frankly, IMO, I don't think ANY review with less than say 5-10 hours of gameplay should EVER count, as it would put a complete stop to review bombing by overly entitled whingers...
Yeah, it is how people are still trying to pretend that Bethesda have done nothing to try and improve on 76 and that Wastelanders added nothing of note...
I'll fully admit, the Wastelanders update turned 76 into the game it should have been at release, but to claim there's been no improvement is indeed laughable, even an utterly foolish claim..
Yep, because I don't care about microtransaction content which is entirely optional... None of it is required to play the game, and none of it is in anyway P2W, so I don't care...
Until such time as Bethesda pulls a Konami, and hides "real" endings etc, behind a pay wall, I have no problems with microtransaction content, as I can just ignore it's existence, and still receive a complete gaming experience...
So what if I don't get to dress my character up in some unique outfit? I didn't buy FO to play Wasteland Barbie's Post-Apocalyptic Fun-time Adventure...*shrug*
I always find this funny... You don't really care... Yeah, right, that's why you're here pissing and moaning about how much you don't really care... *lol*
You keep telling yourself that...
Until recently, it was... Bit hard to look it up right now though, given we're a week into the Summer sale... *shrug*
Yeah, I will, especially given Bethesda have content updates planned for at least another 6-12 months, so it aint dying any time soon...
That, right there, says it all, doesn't it? That smug, morally superior attitude...
Dude, you just pulled the gaming equivalent of screaming racist, or nazi in order to self-validate your opinions... *facepalm*
Simply assuming someone is a "fanboi", for no other than than they place differing values on something, does not make your beliefs any more valid...
They don't... Whilst it's nothing more than a few, rather forgettable, outfits they do indeed have zero impact on my gaming experience...
Like I said, when Bethesda pull a Konami, and lock real content behind a paywall, I'll reassess... But whilst it's nothing more than playing dressups, I don't care...
Hmmmmm.... Maccas?
Such as? What P2W mechanics exist in game?
Or are you another of these gullible idiots, bleeting like sheep, and repeating your chosen YouTube Shepherd, about the repair kits which are inferior to free in-game rewards and perk mechanics?
And I doubt your doubts make for an actually valid argument... *shrug*
Not from what I'm hearing... But, you keep hoping your white-whale will soon get harpooned, Ahab...
The mod author mentions in the comments that he added environmental insect and cricket noise so it should work on quieting down the bugs. But I'm not hearing any difference. I also tried a mod that gives better inventory management. it's called Better Inventory. But it doesn't work either. In fact, I've tried several different mods that are on the nexusmods site for fo76 and none of them work. I have even moved my install directory to my C drive just to see if it would matter.
I don't understand this. I've got the mod files in the data directory and I've got a simple Fallout76Custom.ini that I've configured per instructions on the mod pages. But nothing.
If anyone has a working mod on their machine, could you please be so kind as to post the contents of your Fallout76Custom.ini file. Maybe I'm missing something that isn't documented.
Don't try to use too many mods, keep them simple, this isn't Fallout 4 and your game will stop working evertime it's patched, and you will have to wait for the mod to be updated.
Make sure you follow the mod instructions to the letter.
Don't bother with stupid mods like you are pratting about with, just move your camp.
First, where the game is actually installed...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout76
Second, for some unknown and bizarre reason, the "My Documents" folder, in particular...
C:\Users\<my name>\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76
When I put the Fallout76Custom.ini in this second location, the mods are now working. If this is documented somewhere, or if the Vortex app is supposed to configure this directory when mods are installed using that app, I'd appreciate some info on this just to see it and print it out for future reference. Because for all I know, the ini files live in the same directory as the game itself. the Fallout76.ini is already there, and the data subdir is already there where the mods and other fallout76 files reside. Who could ever have known to go off to some completely unrelated directory and stick the custom ini file in there? Certainly not me. Because I first tried this a month ago and gave up after several hours of bashing my head against it. Tried again today, wasted probably two more hours before finally figuring this out.
