If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and sounds like a duck. It is a duck.
go on and every one else will call it the summer season.
as it resembles a battlepass system like a motorcycle resembles a boat.
Not bugged, if someone places tent near it then it blocks their spawn and that results
"There's so many rewards though" so the hell what? There's so many items at a 7-11 too, but I want to go in, buy a slim jim and walk out. This would be like me walking into the store, the owner saying "oh hey I know you want a slim jim, but I'll give you other random stuff instead until you stay in the store for 2 weeks"
I liked this game and got my moneys worth but in the couple months I've played it, it's not hard to see Bethesda cares more about making more money than actually making interesting content for it. Which is fine, I just don't get how people can pretend it's a nice change though.
could be a goose... it's not a duck.

Still, this is an overall better system. 1500 atoms, various currency/resource/exp boosts, and a mix of all kinds of atom shop items for progressing through tiers. If you grinded out every possible challenge, you got maybe 400-500 atoms per week. After the 1500 you get from ranking up, it leaves you at a maximum "deficit" of 3500 atoms for the whole season, although realistically it would be closer to 3000 when you factor in the challenges you wouldn't bother doing. Two power armor paints that you'd bother using already make up for that and you break even. 5-6 decent weapon skins already make up for that and you break even. A handful of camp items and you break even. Take any combination of those items and you would be hard pressed to say that none of it is worth what you would have otherwise gotten from the atom shop. I only buy PA paints and weapon skins, so once I reach like rank 50 I'll already be ahead of where I would have been in the old system.
Another thing people seem to be conveniently ignoring is that they added a bunch of new lifetime challenges. Many are simple things like killing 76 insects or cryptids, and most give 40-80 atoms each so you can get back hundreds or maybe even over a thousand off those alone
