Getting real tired of swapping out perk cards
Swapping perk cards is getting old real fast. Does Bethesda have any plans to make perk card saves, that would be real nice. Make up a hacker lock-pick set , another setupp for power armor big guns, then one for stealth and so on then just use the wheel like you do for weapon select. I guess it's too much to ask from them, their still busy trying to patch it from the horrible state they released it in

Imo lockpick and hacker should be passive once you unlock it (level 1 2 or 3)

Yeah, or at least be able to set up two decks, so you can just swap combat/crafting cards all in one go

When they do, you'll just ask to make perks passive because it's just a pointless hassle to switch to a different perk set each time you want to craft/hack/lockpick/switch weapons/etc.

You'll get them all eventually, so why even have them at all? Just make everything passive.

On the other side, Enemies are bullet sponges but not very threatening, so it isn't necessary to use the damage or defense perks. I don't bother equipping most of them because the extra second I take to kill enemies isn't worth the hassle of switching perk cards when I want to lockpick or craft some ammo.

We both have the same problem. I just don't see the need for the excess damage.

A: Official Perk Loadouts are coming soon.
B: head over to nexusmods and grab the perk loadout manager mod until official support launches.

C: profit :)

ok, thank u for the info.

as for nuclear winter: u wrote without mods i can join, but i have mods installed to make the "bobbleheads" and "magazines" visible. Must i de-install this also, or is it enough to remove "*.ini" that time i play NW?

I've heard various things about using mods and whether it is condoned by Bethesda. Seems like a lot of people use them, yet where does it explicitly state that it's permitted? And if it is, why isn't it a sticky on here, or the main forums. Seems like you can potentially get banned for using them. Just curious

Perk loadouts are still just masking the real issue of tying skills into the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system.

At least with skills (small guns, big guns, energy weapons etc.) You could have a character built your way (high strength, high perception, low agility but still use pistols etc.).

And having no cap on S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points was a bad move (especially the increase to 15 soft cap to accommodate perk cards).

At this stage I'd be happy if they tore down the whole system and went back to a revised FO3 system, you know like how Fallout used to be.

Was talking about this last night. Multiple Perk card loadouts would be ideal.

It is pointless.

Some on the Beth forums say you should pick one set and thats it. That begs the question, why allow swapping.

If they are going to allow swapping on the fly, stop the many popups and "select a new perk card" requests when level 200 for starters. Pre allocated would be handy.
Just make it quick... "I'm going to open that safe anyway so don't waste my valuable time."

But no, they wont ever sort this. This game is meant to be a long hard chore. Its not a game, its a lifestyle, and a miserable pain in the ass one.
