Question about mutation management
Hi.

I've got a quick question. My chars are somewhat optimzed and i got good weapons, too. So now i wanted to test out the field of mutations. But when i go through them, there are only a few ones i really like.

So, here is the question. Do you have any possibility to manage them specificly? The first mutation is easy. Get radiated until mutation, if mutation bad -> RadAway, if good -> Starched Genes. But how do i stack the useful ones?

E.g. i already have Marsupial, and i want additional Bird Bones. But the mutation i get is something crappy (in this case, as an example, Twisted Muscles). Can i get rid only of Twisted Muscles but keep Marsupial? Does RadAway only remove the latest mutation or all mutations?

Many thanks in advance for answers and tips.

Well it's RNG. You remove random mutation. Remove and try to get something useful again. OR you can just buy serums from players and that way have only mutations u want to have.

If you have time and patience you can try until you have what you want. For me there were only 3(?) mutations I never wanted to have (like empath for example). Other were not that bad with Class Freak perk maxed.

the answer is serums. it is pricey game the mutation game. either ppay in chems and aid swimming in rads or pay in caps for some serums from the enclave. you can even get plans to make your own serums to sell to others. i recently had to swap around some mutations because im sick of drinking and eating twice as much as the normal overly fast eat drink cycle. so speed demon had to go. i first traveled around and collected the serums i wanted to keep. once that was done i removed class freak and starched genes and used a rad away, until speed demon was gone i got lucky and kept one mutation, drank my serums to replace the ones i had lost and back on with class freak and starched genes.

that is the only was to be 100% in control of the mutation process.
the rng way does eventually pan out though i dont think efficient for more then 2 mutations as the random removal rng would be 2 to 1 in favor of removing a mutation you want to keep.

player choice, save up caps and shop player vendors. or like old school players liek me, from before player vending save up ALOT of caps and find the one serum you have to have.

rad x negates mutations effects for the duration of the dose so dump all that rad x you really dont need it. yes ive heard diluted rad x does prevent some rads but i can tell you from hundreds of hours usign mutations.ive a giant stack of radaway and player camps many times have rad showers as does enclave bunker. ive not had an issue dealing with rads and not needed any kind of rad shield or rad x for a year now.
call me a rad away junkie but never had to do more then drink another purified water right after a dose...

Here is a good tutorial if you want to try the free way.

RNG may be a pain, but this method is quicker then most. But serums are worth it, only with Class Freak and Starched Genes at max as DieCast stated. (Shop around you can find them as low as 300 caps each on some vendors.)
