Multiply that by several other perks for ammo, meds, weapons, etc. and attempting to make an exact weight tally as you did is an impossible task - because the stash is displaying your carry weight rather than the item's actual weight in the stash.
Just more Bethesda lazy and incomplete programming - not an actual incorrect weight calculation. (Unequipping all of your weight reduction perk cards and possibly your backpack if you have a moded one "should" show you the true weights of everything.)
No, Problem clearly lies between chair and keyboard on this one.
Glowing Mass is normally 2 lbs each.
I would expect a comment like that form someone who can not figure out they measured weights while having weight reduction perks equipped. Instead of taking responsibility for your mistake you blame the programmers.
I guess your programming idea would be not to show the reduced weight at all?
You guys can white knight for Bethesda all you want but it doesn't change the FACT that when looking at items in the stash box the weight is displayed incorrectly.
The weight shown in the stash box should be the full weight since that is the value being used against the weight limit in the stash box. It would be useful in the player inventory to see the full weight and reduced weight in parentheses or simply a dash or hyphen symbol for items not reduced in weight.
More important stuff to fix then to cater to your lame math skills. Everything applied adds to time and resource usage but hey, you have no idea how programming works means you are right. Can't teach something some one does not want to learn. Just jump on a youtube and let them tell you how you should think, seems to work for many.
This is a minor flaw and no where near the top of the list to be addressed but again every company has unlimited resources to throw at what ever because why not. Donate your free time to help them fix these things or better yet complain on a third party launcher to make them learn. sigh
So how about you white knight for the op and come up with a valid excuse of why after removing everything from the stash that the op did not notice the weight reduction perks were in effect?
Better yet go post in a third party forum on how it is bugged, lol.
By the way there is nothing bugged about anything. the proper weights are used for both your character and the stash. It is a bad user interface that obviously confuses people.
Yeah its slightly inconvenient when trying to micromanage your stash. But I don't really expect them to program different display options just for one box. It would be nice, but honestly after all the issues they were having just with display/vendor containers Its probably best not to add another variable to the mix. :P
However...I forsee people actually being dumb enough to use the weight reduction perks to put things into the stash and then remove the perk causing the stash to go over that limit. Maybe even someone else was sharing the perk and then it screws your stash weight when they leave the group.
My advice is learn to use the sort by weight feature.
