Not tried enforcer, but one gun army for stagger / cripple with heavy weapons didn't seem to ever do anything.
As for the OP, with some armour ignore, they aren't too bad to deal with, but, which way you deal with them is down to your individual weapon choice.
lol, usally when I need a new weapon I will go Stalk one of them down to see what they got.. Which is how I got many of my weapons I can't build yet..
As Dreadwulf said, it really does depend on what your build and gear. I get 2x damage for sneak shot and have high Perception (15) and maxed out Rifleman cards, for example.
Another option is to use any obstacle to obstruct the laser. However, be careful. Glitchout 76 still has tons of bugs. If you are inside, the assaultron's laser will often pass through walls. Additionally, it's laser can also pass through elevation changes outside (hills, etc).
Regular obstacles such as control panels, cars and most trees should block it.
The final alternative is to either out dps it or out tank it. Have a stim ready though. Occasionally, it will back to back fire its laser. It seems to do this more often at mid range rather than at close or long range. So I suggest either fighting it from long range or close range if obstructing it isn't an option.
I usually close the distance as fast as possible. I'm not sure if many know this or not, but you can launch a sprinting melee attack that does heavy damage. I haven't parsed it to see how it compares to a power attack, but, with Incisor, a sprinting melee attack will take out 75% of it's health or kill it outright. Oh, and this it with being at higher health, not full on bloodied damage.
I use PA armor melee/heavy gun build. Bloodied, faster swing sledge or Bloodied Explosive .50 faster reloading or Furious explosive gatling gun.
plus they seem like they are weaker in the arms and legs (like you said), protectons are weaker there too
1-Assaultron: Legs are the best, TORSO works as well with hight DPS
2- Mr Gutsy: That stupid propeler stucked on its ass.
3- Torso for the rest of the bots.
4- Humanoids: Go for the head.
5- Most reptiles are the head, but it is easier to hit their legs or torso.
Corrections:
1.) Torso doesn't cripple them AND has higher DR. Always go for legs or arms.
2.) Just hit the eyes, way easier to hit and they are weakspots.
3.) Not right. Protectrons have their limbs as weakpoints, too.
Hey, that's a really good point! The more you know.
