Fallout 76
What are you supposed to do about over-levelled enemies?
All the enemies I encounter are over level 40, usually around 65. As a level 26 this is unplayable. The only way i can do anything is by getting a level 250 guy I made friends with to carry me. It's not just main quests, side quests and dailys have the same issue so I can't level up.

Anybody else stuck with this problem?

Stay in the Low level areas?.
You shouldn't be in the right hand side of the map or even the middle of the map yet.

It's called the Savage divide because it's literally the zone that separates the levelled areas.

Do an internet search for Fallout 76 map level ranges and click on images. There are tons of player created maps that show the sections of the map labeled with level ranges.

Beyond that, use a melee build (ensuring that you use Incisor perk) or go for headshots. Headshots have damage multipliers.

mob level changes if a high level player has been there recently, check the map for who is around the given area and reload if need be

I try to aim for sneak attack headshots where I can, but the damage just isn't there. I end up ploughing through stimpak and radaway, which luckily my level 250 mate is dropping for me in bulk.
MOBS aren't always just obscenely high levelled because a high level player was there. Take the interiors for the DMV/Capital building for example. Often you'll find bloated or glowing l60-l80 ghoul enemies in there at all times even though the door on the instance says it's rated for l25-l30.

The best you can do is wait for one wasteland and hope it unfarks that particular issue.

I realized early on that Fallout 76 was mostly a joke and there was no point to traditionally grinding to level 50+. The game doesn't punish you - in any way - for powerleveling. In fact, it punishes you more at lower levels (other than PvP - which is a waste of time anyway).

You're better off referencing the map occasionally and watching for activity. If you see people in Whitesprings or similiar, then go there. Don't need to group up. Just take shots at everything. As long as you do some damage, when the high levels kill it, you'll get full experience.

Then, as an added bonus of getting to 50+ as soon as possible, your quest rewards will usually be level 45-50. You also get access to all the perk cards since some have level requirements.

There aren't any quests that you get locked out of for being level 50+. You have no skills that you need to catch up on either. It's a pretty shallow game overall and there's no reason at all to languish at low level (unless you're masochistic).

There are no incentives to remain at low level. No story. No content. No purpose that incentivizes leveling normally. There are only negatives for remaining low level.

If your friend is willing, you can also run around with him to level up as well. He gets stuff's attention, you do some damage and he finishes it off. As long as you can find an area that has lots of enemies, should be able to level up in short order.
Fighting baddies twice your level is the norm....if you are having trouble your character is weakly built or equipped.

This just highlights the problem with in game chat. The guy had to spell out the word "quest" on my wall when we'd finished upgrading my camp. I have no way to communicate with him. I can't find him on steam. He just invites me to a team, makes me leader, drops me loads of stuff and follows me around sometimes.

Headset :)
Whitesprings Resort for example. I was "welcomed" by two level 90+ deathclaws (one of them were a glowing one). And I didnt even saw a single (usually above level 60) charred ghoul yet, which the place is full with. I had to run of course....

Whitesprings is in the savage divide where enemies are levelled at 25-99.

There's nothing wrong with voice chat. I know it's not ideal, but you can find really good headsets for cheap on amazon. The kind that has a mute button and one headphone, so you don't have to wear a full headset. Phones for when the family is sleeping and mute button when you're not using it or don't want stuff to go over the mic.

I can link you the one I use if interested. It's only like 30 dollars. Can be used for other stuff besides Fallout.

Text chat has been discussed but not considered a priority.

As long as you are paying attention, you can cheese a lot of stuff there by standing on top of stuff. Hedgerows, buildings, etc. Just don't jump onto something like a bus without destroying it first. It's only a matter of time before a random mongoloid runs by and shoots it out from underneath you.

Look in settings. You can enable/disable it there.

And, yeah, many people don't use it. Even if someone else has it disabled, they can still hear you.
