Can people steal your weapons if on a display rack

I searched this subject but could only find older posts before the big update that added NPCs
I have several several wall displays and a heavy gun rack I like to use to keep my 3 scorch beast queen weapons on but am afraid someone might steal my good weapons if I put them on. Anyone know if Bethesda got these display racks locked down good now.

Nope. They are in your stash all the time, just showed on racks. They are safe.

Completely safe. The only time you'll see them missing from racks is when the Devs shut down Vendors. But even then they're still safe in your stash.

At one point there was a bug that allowed people to "buy" your display items out of your vending machine.

It's been fixed and there aren't any posts relating to it anymore.

So, then if folks cannot steal anything from your camp then what is the point of locked boxes or doors? Just curious...

People say ing "No" like there hasn't been a bunch of exploits that proved it is possible.

All reported have been patched, but it's likely some more obscure ones exist.

Same reason I lock my door in real life. I don't want you in my house. :P

People lock doors to designate personal areas. You can also lock things that generate materials, like water purifiers, harvesters, and scavenging bots that people can grab stuff from.

you can take stuff out of water purifiers, and and those collectron bots if they aren't locked. Plus maybe people don't want you in the house I suppose.. I don't mind, come in my house, use my crap.. enjoy..

I see, makes sense. I can see getting into the building the camp aspect, but I am about as much into it as I was in FO4, which is not much. I finally put a roof over our beds to keep the rain off and I am level 55 :)
