Ultracite Gatling Laser plans
I'm looking for the plans for the Ultracite Gatling Laser. I have a b/ffr, and need to learn the plans.
I haven't seen a single one, recently.

The weapon. I just got lucky on a drop, and got a Bloodied, 25% ffr.

Eww, good luck. I finally got a drop on the plan the other day, I learned it though. The sad part is I am completely spacing where it came from, lol. I want to say it came from a supply drop in the bog?

Although if you gathered the materials someone could craft the weapons for you so you can scrap for mods. Preferably someone with Super Duper.

Level 35 (level does not matter for mod scrapping)
13 aluminum
10 circuitry
9 crystal
10 fiber optics
20 plastic
29 steel
18 ultracite

You also have another option of trusting someone to mod it for you that knows the mod you want.

If you are looking for drops of the weapons then you should make sure you do Heart of the Enemy and hunt mobs like Honey Beasts in the Irrational Fear event since they like dropping the rarer heavy weapons. The other BOS events give them out very rarely.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I remember reading somewhere the plans drop in the bog. I'd forgot about that.

The plans are incredibly rare. Census Violence appears to have the best drop rate, followed by AWOL armaments. Cop a Squatter can also yield the plans at a phenomenally low rate.

Most Ultracite Gat Laser plans came from the new mole miner event, or duping.

To add Insult to Injury, learning UGL mods is almost (But not quite) as bad as the Radium rifle, which is infamous as being the most difficult weapon to learn mods for (about a 5% rate, so 1 in 20 scrapped guns will yield a mod)

Well can rule out Census Violence and AWOL Armaments I aint done either in weeks.

It either came from Cop a Squatter (which I do on 4 different characters each time it comes up) or I looted it from a supply drop. I remember looting it from a container, but I also moved it from one character to another (the plan learner.) Most likely I got lucky with Cop a Squatter. Thinking back I think I got it clearing CAS at Sunset Farm.

Cop a Squatter is a pain in the ass for half the locations. There is a couple locations that are missing mobs sometimes (Appalachian Antiques.) The Blood Eagle tower has the underground dog that is bugged. The ranger station you can get the bug if you aint careful, the scorched MUST wake up and attack in order for them to count. Kerwood Mine, yeah screw that place. Once you have the quest if it comes up with a bad location just swap servers and the locations change.

Kinda too bad it wasnt the prime receiver, I have 3 of those, lol. I figured out if my alts never learn the prime receivers they keep dropping fairly often from scorchbeasts.

Also bugged AF. I won't even be anywhere near any of the mission requirements and get rewards out of nowhere for OTHER people doing it. On the upside I get random free crap every day.

As to those ultracite plans I keep seeing ultracite plans all over the place when I vendor hop. Maybe check player vendors?

One time I was so lazy, I just nuked it.

Been taking my time exploring the map so nowhere near nuke-hopping ready yet. I'm being honest though, Went to Watonga ONCE, Never even talked to the police chief or gone near him but I'll get rewards from doing the quest I never signed up for everyday.

Those are for the normal laser rifle and mods.

Ultracite Gatling Laser is like a rare drop of Gatling Laser. The mods for it are only obtained by scrapping.

That does not always work silly.

I actually had that happen last night. My mobs were at the southern checkpoint and someone launched a SBQ nuke. It did not even kill all of them. I had to go down in the rad zone after to get them.

It actually aint a bug. Bugthesda actually did something right. When you obtain the quest it marks the current mobs at the location as your targets. So when those mobs die your quest is done. Now with most MMOs if someone kills your mob you have to wait for a respawn (which for Fallout 76 is an hour or a new player enters area.) I will take the free rewards over the frustration of being screwed over any day of the week.

Yes but that assumes you picked up the quest in the first place. I never did. I was out in the forest the first time I got the popup for 'finishing' that quest and I had never once been to the chief before.

When you first enter the Bog area you get the daily started to go visit the chief.
Every zone daily works like that, enter the zone and get the daily.

When you swap servers the quest jumps ahead to act as if you visited the chief rather than forcing you to go to the chief should you change servers or disconnect.

So technically you did pick up the quest. Just not in the traditional in person visit.

Okay, That makes sense and it's one less thing I'm confused about. XD

Fortunately, it's a wicked weapon, regardless of mods. I'll start grinding.
