Flux creation/farming, more detailed questions
Hi.

My heavy gunner is more less properly equipped, and now i'm trying to improve his gear further. I collected a full set of T-60 (please no discussion about this decision, i like the looks of it and know that there are better PAs out there) and want to build the calibrated shocks for them (i used the excavator PA for a long time, so i got used to the improved carry weight).
Aditionally, i'm currently a few thousand reputation points away from buying the Gauss Minigun. but the normal ammo generation/production of the 2mm cartridge is so incedibly bad that i thought, why not step up your game a little bit and use the prime receiver in it. The prime ammo production is, iirc again, way more efficient than the normal one.

But for both things i need flux. And i have nearly no experience in farming them. I know that you need 1 hardend mass, 1 glowing mass, 1 high radiation fluid and 10 raw flux of the same color to produce a stable flux of this color. I already discovered a site named mappalachia, where they have detailed maps of all flux colors. I have all useful perks for this (Green Thumb, Glow Sights, Super Duper), enough radiation protection and no problem clearing out the silo itself to launch the nuke. BUT, i'm the overthinking type and completely anxious about just doing this stuff and make my own experiences (and right now i only have one nuclear keycard). So i have some detailed questions about the farming itself.

1.) I *know* that the raw flux can spoil, and the stable flux can't. But how about the three other ingredients? Can they spoil or could i just farm then in seperate runs and put them in my stash?

2.) I need violet flux for the calibrated shocks, so Whitespring is not an option to nuke.It looks like Toxic Valley and the complete east side of the map has tons of violet plants, so i plan to nuke the area slightly west of Harper's Ferry or Abbie's bunker in the north. Good choices or would you prefer some other location(s)?

3.) How about the other 3 ingredients? I *think* that they are dropping from enemies in nuked zones, but i'm not sure. And i'm not sure if they are guaranteed drops or if every glowing/radiated enemy in the zone can drop them with a chance. Can every enemy drop every ingredient, or can a ghoul e.g. only drop the fluids? How do you farm those things? Extra runs on good locations or do you just loot along the enemies that are in the area you nuked specifically for the flux?

4.) How long does the radiation zone stays there (i have in mind 3 hours after you drop the bomb)? How fast is the respawn of the plants and the enemies in the zone (i have 1st, so i could farm them more than once if the cooldown is not to high)?

5.) Can i provoke/track the air convoys to get those nuclear keycards? I remember the terminal in the Whitespring bunker. But do i only track existing ones with the terminal, or do i actually spawn them with it? Are they on a cooldown once i spawned a convoy, or can i spawn, track and kill them as often as i like?

6.) Not so important, but do i get the plans for the 2mm prime ammo when i buy the corresponding receiver for one of the Gauss guns, or do i have to wait until the SBQ drops the prime receiver for the normal Gauss rifle? And which color is the flux needed for the 2mm prime ammo?

Many thanks in advance for your help, stay safe.

Honestly the T60 Power armor looks the most balanced between them all. I think it has the best radiation resistance out of all Power armor with exception to t65 which i dont know the stats for

1.) Hardened Mass/etc do not spoil. But they weigh a lot, so I tend not to hoard them for when I need stable; I just go farm them easily.

2.) Tons of this by the SBQ; look in small copses of trees.

3.) Any enemy in a radiated zone can drop the 3 mats.

4.) I thought it was 2 hours, but I could be wrong.

5.) Not sure on this. Yesterday I server hopped ten times before the Whitespring terminal gave me the location of a cargobot. The other times said it was not available or something.

6.) Pretty sure you need the drop, but again could be wrong.

this pretty much covers it. except that I can give you a strait answer on 6.

6.) yes. you automatically learn to make the ammo when you learn a Prime Receiver plan.
