Does Commando affect Heavy weapons like mini guns in Fallout 76..

my primary weapon of choice thus far has been the minigun,, I was looking to bolster the damage a bit and got curious if the perk Commando booster heavy weapons or no.. I know in previous games it didn't but wasn't sure if that carried over into Fallout 76

Nah, those are not rifles. You'll need Heavy Weapon perks instead.

Heavy Gunner is the weapons perk for LMG, Minigun, Gatling Gun/Lasers, Plasma Gatling, and Plasma Caster. i feel like im forgetting one but you get the idea

i couldnt remember if the explosive weapons counted lol and i forgot about flamer/cryolater and harpoon gun
Edit: also no the Missile Launcher, AGL, Fatman do not benefit from Heavy Gunner (says Non Explosive Heavy Weapons

ah I should have known that too.. man I really bungled up my build.. going to take me a lot of levels just to salvage my messed up build..

one more question, how can I create power armor.. I have a quest to create excavator armor, but when I click on the armor station it doesn't open.. Is their a quest or plans you need to find,, I did get the excavator plans from the computer during the quest but can't open it up.. not sure if it's a bug or if I'm being clueless on how it works..

you have to place down a frame in front of it then you can craft/modify

ahh so that was my issue.. I just assumed it would be there because of the quest calling for it.. oh well.. By frame you mean chassis right?
