Where do I start quest "Search Big Bend Tunnel for Survivors"

I've been through Big Bend, though I just had to find the bodies to get the anti-scorched mods, but apparently it's tied to that quest, but I can't figure out how to start it. Halp! =(

You need to go to Charleston Fire Department and do the Fire Breather exam. Once you're done with that you can go to the computer upstairs that will start the quest. The bodies have passwords used at that computer to unlock the mods.

I did all that, but the quest didn't start. =-\ Just the one to find madigan or whatever (which I've also done). I hope I didn't screw it up so I can't do it now...

Yup, not there. Even if I wasn't tracking it, the pip would show up on the map, right? Moreover, I went to Big Bend and checked a body, no quest item.

you get the sidequest if you check the terminal in the Fire Dep after you finished the Fire Breater Part, and read some Notes that ly aroudn there.
you dont "check A body" for that quest, you go into the tunnel and search in the deeper natural side Tunnels, there are many Scorched and many Death Bodys. On of this Bodys is the guy you seek.

You don't need to do this quest if you're looking for Ultracite solutions.

There's an NPC trader tht travels the CAMPs and the random campsite events that pop up who sells both types of bows and ALL their ammo and mod recipes/plans. I got ultracite arrow and ultracite bolt recipes very early on. Like around l13 this way.

So sorry I didn't spell it out in excruciating detail:

I fast-traveled to Big Bend Tunnel.
I walked to the entrance.
I pressed "E" on the door.
I waited for the load screen.
I walked down the tunnel.
I found the right-fork that goes down.
I killed 5 Mole Men.
I turned right.
I got to the bottom.
I took the left branch.
I looked at the body of a Fire Breather.
It was named Sgt. Colminsky.
I moused over it.
An inventory window popped up.
No quest item was in the inventory.

Ergo, I was not on the quest. Please let me know if I missed anything else in my description.

The answer is you apparently now have to walk up to the mind. Not sure how I managed to miss it but have the fast travel point, but I waled from Lewisberg Station up the rail tracks towards the mine and it triggered.
