Stay away from workshops honestly. There are some really pathetic tryhards in this game that spam invisibility with marsupial and just jump up and down spamming explosive shotguns or whatever. It's insanely unbalanced and not fun.
After everything you stated that sounds like normal stuff lol.
You can have non-power armored builds that get up to as much DT and ET as the PA can.
Then you have numerous 1shot builds that are mention to just absolutely destroy people.
I have a 1shot melee build that I havent seen many people, and enemies, survive and it involves a legendary deathclaw gauntlet.
If you can give a bit more details, maybe? I mean I dont know if you miss your hits or what. Pretty much anyone over lvl300 has been playing the game for a LONG time and have insane 1shot builds that involve them having high evasive sometimes.
Honestly this is kinda why I got FO 1st.
I saw the perks on top of getting the money back in atom as really great and I would just log on, take over the ammo factory and junk places and set up then just spend the day hoping between all of them defending them.
Lots of plans, lots of water to sell, lots of stimpacks, exp, and of course ammo and junk.
Mutations k might be further in the game, or some friend just hooked him up with those and he doesn't know about Marsupial.
Idk but i smell noobie here
1) Always be crouched when you are in the workshop. You don't want to show a dot on the map. If they can't see you on the map, they most likely won't FT to the workshop to try and kill you.
2) Never do the defend missions. They show on the map and PvP players will see that and possibly go hang out to see if you're going to show. They also can take a long time to finish. If you really want to keep everything working in the workshop, wait for the retake. It doesn't show on the map and you have a better chance of getting out alive.
3) When you capture a workshop, put down a stash/scrap box immediately and store everything of value. Any time you pick up something, stash it right away so you don't lose it.
4) Place a FT mat somewhere out of the way in the workshop. Aggressors have a pretty good idea where the regular FT spawn is so they can camp on that location, or keep an eye out on the other nearby FT locations. Moving it gives you an element of surprise.
5) Spend as little time in the workshop as possible. It's not a home away from home, it's not a cool place to try things out. Go in, do a quick build or resource grab, and get the flock out of there.
6) If someone attempts to capture it from you while you're away, don't come back to defend it. Just consider it a write off if they actually do complete the capture. Most of them though will drop the contest, and restart it right after to keep it going longer, also to try and bait you into coming back.
7) If you are in the workshop and they get you. Do not respawn at the workshop to try and get your stuff. Do not do not do not attempt to seek revenge. Respawn at some other location, immediately crouch, and then block them on the social menu. That way they can't see your dot. You may also want to server hop.
Are you on the right thread?
People just said that they could easily have done what the OP claimed legit, because the PvP isn’t even remotely balanced.
Which is very true, I’ve both been utterly evaporated by a PvPer and casually tanked everything thrown at me before oneshotting them. And I don’t build for PvP, at all.
Oh, and to the OP:
Don’t listen to the people telling you to avoid workshops. PvP players are extremely rare and there’s very little to lose or gain from it.
No real point in going through all the trouble of hampering your resource gathering to avoid a group who you’ll only every meet in one of a hundred servers. Thieves are far more costly, and they tend to bail when faced with a basic lock(and turrets).
Dude no one was saying there arent bugs or cheaters.
MOST people online in any game call legit players hackers way more than they call cheaters hackers
This feels like youre seriously pushing your on narrative here.
No doubt. It's a practically a meme to call anyone who kills you a hacker or cheater.
Yeah you obviously had no idea about a gauss rifle with sneak attack bonuses. The damage is about 1500 damage. That is even without a berserker or bloody build.
The number string names are people playing on Steam that did not link a Bethesda account.
Which means whoever did this to you could be reading this and having quite a laugh.
You said yes to PVP, nobody to blame but yourself.
My advice is next time let them have the workshop and swap servers rather than be someone's chew toy.
Im not sure about this one.
I was seeing these names back in launch on the PC and it always freaked me out they might have been potential hackers with throw away names.... i mean they arent im just saying how i rememebered seeing those names back at launch....
I really wonder what they did to achieve that back then
Then please explain how this was a problem before steam had Fallout 76.
