Trade Secrets Quest not starting.

I've got The Motherlode (prerequisite) complete and have scoured the Hornwright HQ and Estate, found Penny's terminal and thought I did all the right steps however I don't have the quest and I can't get it to start. Completed everything every guide tells me to do! I'm lvl 72 on this char and have the Excavator power armor, everything.

Trying to do this for a follow up Settlers quest (most of you know which one) and I can't initiate any of it.

Trade Secrets is in the Settlers quest chain to prepare to raid Vault 79 (before the point of no return.)

It should have started with Page. Try talking to him again.

Yep thanks guys, Paige wasn't talking to me so I just had to desktop and start er up again.

No problem. Did the quest line twice already and NPCs sometimes have to have their conversation restarted because they try to do an animation or the scripting is being wonky.

Can I ask about these faction type missions: I thought for a moment I had to choose one faction over the other to raid the vault, so I finished the Hornwright estate mission, but now it sounds like I need to do both faction's missions, for both Paige and Meg, is that right?

If yes then ok carry on good sir

If no then stop immediately and do that quest

you want to do the quests for both factions until completion for the booty, but just make sure you understand when the point of no return is as far as choosing a side.
