Mayor for a Day CLUES bug. Cannot progress! HELP?! Need Holotapes!

Was doing "Mayor for a Day" and was collecting the 5 Clues from the saboteur's hideout. Went to use the terminal/computer in the room, but I was crouched down, and it caused my character to get stuck in the animation. I had already collected the 2 Holotapes in the room. Well, I had to close the game out. Now when I get back into the game, the quest resets to me being 0/5 on the Clues, I go to the hideout, and no holotapes, and no they are not in my inventory either.

TL;DR: Game believes I have the holotapes when I do not, and they are not spawning on the ground next to the dead guy for me.

(If someone has the holotapes on them from doing this quest, and no longer needs them to complete the quest, maybe you could friend me so I can get the holotapes from you and see if that works? Will be available in about 6 to 8 hours now.. had to go to sleep)

For anyone who comes along later, a way to reset this is to use the Summersville house that's right in front of the quick travel point. When you pick up 255 items, your own personal loot table resets, and it's full of destroyed books. Pick up all of them, drop them, and then server hop, and the items will respawn. I just had to use it to fix this quest myself.

go pick up 75 other items in the world and come back. they should be there again then i guess.

So, I found a way to continue the quest without getting the holotapes. You still need the Saboteur's work password note from the safe and Keycard from the body. After you get both of them, go to the Robco Research Center. Enter the building, find the room with a keycard reader on the second floor, use the card, use the terminal inside the room, then the quest should be updated and you can continue doing the quest.

It doesn't surprise me that this is still bugged. This is an original quest and it's been modified more than once and we all know how bad Bethesda is at cleaning up their code.

Back in the day, these items were not spawned for you when you did the quest, they were world items, which means, had someone else been by recently to do the quest, they wouldn't be there for you. My guess is this was never properly updated after they last updated it to spawn these items specifically for you.
