Transfer items between characters

Is their a way to do this yet? Like can I hide items in a chest or something and come back for them? Or if I have fallout first will i be able to plant stuff for my alt to then pick up?

Possibly, but then you'd have to hope to end up in the same server on your other char.

yeah not lookin to cheat, just want to be able to make stuff on my good character to enjoy on a low level new build character.

Essentially i guess i would just have to make alts on a different account i suppose.

Or have people you trust holding on to the stuff for you I suppose. Alts on a different account would require you to have a second copy of the game :P

ask a friend to courier. I always do this when I need to level my alts and they find some good rolls from the purveyor

Even with 1st/private server, I think you still have to come back VERY fast to actually get the same instance.

You can do it to pass any items around, it's completely unrelated to duping. Duping is a completely separate thing.

you cannot drop items in a bag then switch characters on a private server to transfer items proven unable to do this anymore it was being abused by idiots.
i would assume using a world container would not be allowed either for the same reason.

the duping isnt because of transferring items from character to character on the same account,
its to do with the containers used and how they are being used or abused in the case of dbaggers

there isnt a real way to transfer items solo if you have a buddy or trust someone you meet, then they could hold items for you, as long as both your characters are friends with them, then you can pop on with them and grab your stuff.

solo non private server using a world container and hoping you can get back on the same server...not a good idea. unless you have a friend on that world you can jump back onto
and if a friend then they should really hold the items for you as thats just safer.

now the question we ask is SHOULD there be a way to give our other toons items we have saved for them....a special box that all characters on an account can access bu building it in camp. or a world container like the big mailboxes ala new vegas and the courier factions mailboxes.

now that would be awesome pay a few caps for a mnachien to send items to our other characters. send items log out log in on other toon get message to visit local mailbox and boom, items inside...

I mean its not realy an exploit having a second account, thats legit having 2 accounts that have been paid for. I did the same thing in EVE online, i had 5 accounts i ran on that game.

You can use cigarett boxes to transfer items, just join a friends server.

I was wondering about this also. I thought the stash might be shared, but apparently not.

Not sure I see the reason for not being able to give alts items. Sure it can help them out a lot, but it is still YOU playing. Finding a nice 3 star item from the 60 scrip random thing is the perfect example... I can see getting something nice from that, that my melee guy could use...

Simply find a friend who's online and request that they stay on the server they're on until you complete your trade, it can be a Private server as well. Go to a location nearby Vault 76 (one of the settler farms perhaps) and drop everything into a container there. Jump off that character and get onto your new one, making sure to rejoin your friend so that you're back on that same server. Collect your items and you're good to go.

I've done this numerous times when wanting to start over but want to keep outfits and the like.

Could play with trustworthy friends and have them hold onto the item until you return with the desired character.
