The Steam Reception for this game is fascinating

Sure obviously for a good reason - but i have never EVER seen this much hatred for a game before. Not in a long time at least....

And not just the hatred but the going out of the way to ensure the curious gets thrown overboard from coming aboard -- Hell ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reviews of this game are higher than objective ones, you can just put one line that reads: "♥♥♥♥ Bethesda" and you'll get a million likes from that one review

Free weekend? "PLAY BETTER GAMES"

"I have friends who play this" -- "You need better friends" or my personal favorite: "Unfriend those friends and in return i'll buy you any game that you want; as long as you stop playing this game"

Heck even for people who just want to enjoy a game for a game are getting ♥♥♥♥ on -- long days have gone where people can just buy a game no matter the criticism even if it's very bad; the idea of "well I'm having fun with (x) game" can be seen as the equivalent of having COVID-19 or cancer. And it's extremely sad that we have devolved into this hysteria or rather unbridled anger all because somebody is having fun. Not the company because when do these companies care about us - but if one gamer is having fun then everyone and their mom, dog, cat, car, weapon, comic book collection, kitchen sink will go out of their way to ensure: "NEVER AGAIN" sure y'all are doing it by not doing that and just by typing in: "It's your money"

But see; even if you just type in: "It's your money. You do what you want" we are past that point of letting people decide with their own money and instead we yell at them like a parent to their children.

Hell i can guarantee myself that this topic will be ♥♥♥♥ on. Just because i made this topic in this game. "Oh you can make topics. Just not in this ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of garbage shill of a game"

Bethesda doesn't have a forum where "consumers" (corporate term for gamers/players) can voice their opinion about the product. FO76 has been, objectively, a dumpster fire since Day 1. And Bethesda's handling of it, both from development and PR, has been worse than the game itself.

Fallout 76 is shining example of the greed plaguing today's gaming industry. They didn't make 76 for the fans, they made it to make cash. That's why it launched as one of their buggiest titles, it STILL one of their buggiest titles, and why they've got the top-most requested feature for the game locked behind a subscription. This "game" is epitome of "gaming as a service".

I don't actually hate FO76. I weep inside at the fact that it could have been the multiplayer game we all wanted. But this corporate cosplay company that's posing as Bethesda created this absolute mockery.

And now that it's on a platform where gamers and players are able to openly voice their opinions.... Can you really be surprised by the long time fans of Bethesda games eagerly posting their ire about the game, and more-so about the company?

True. But sometimes people be doing it WAYY to aggressively as some have mention on many, many, many, many forum threads already; people literally sitting on this forum just to ♥♥♥♥ all over any topic in regards to this game. Which is just insane; and yes for good reason -- but seriously if people have questions to ask, etc, etc. Let them ask it rather than copying and pasting the same ol'd message, etc.

This is a multiplayer game.

Pretty much imagine Skyrim etc but your not allowed to use mods to fix it.

Interestingly enough. The steamspy report for this game reads 0-20000. With a peak of 17.4, we almost had everyone who owns the game on at one point in time (On steam.) No idea how many are on bethesda, but not a single one of my servers have had a vacancy yet.

My favorite part of that video is getting banned just by having legit items.
Or being near a hacker. That makes you a hacker too. This isn't even GTAV level of fun where hackers have stuff they shouldn't have.
We're talking about that AND bugs eating every single item you own fun. Bugs eating everything out of your super special $100 per month box and everything you were too stupid to buy from the atom shop fun.
This game is nothing but a dumpster fire and has yet to change.

The "misguided advertising" of this company.

They charged 200$ for a "Power Armor Edition" with a canvas bag and a wearable Powerarmor-Helmet. The bag came as nylon and the helmet was soon recalled for mold-risk. Both after a long period of delivery problems.

They also sold Rum in a Nuka-Bottle for way to much money - After "some" delivery problems they shipped a generic Rum-bottle with a cheap plastic outlet.

They gave "discounts" on items in their ingame-shop. Those "discounts" where labeled as such, but the pricetag was the same as always. "Get it quick - Only [x] days left"

I don`t hate the game, but i can`t recommend it.

just go through the payday 2 forum after the walking dead announcement, the introduction of microtransactions, deathwish update, weapons balance updates and revamps of the skill tree's, implementing a broken anti cheat then deciding it was too hard a problem to fix so they unbanned everyone lol come to think of it just pick a date and you can pretty much garuntee some ♥♥♥♥ was going down over there xD

This abomination deserves to be review nuked. If they had worked on a new numbered fallout, all the while deciding to make an actual RPG not a looter shooter, they would have been loved.
But instead we get this dudu. A big fat dudu that looks like candy on the outside so the kids all run into the heap like moths to the flame.

If we want real fallout again, then we have to speak up. Speak up and loud so they won't ♥♥♥♥ up the fallout franchise again. They should have known better than to try and exploit the love of this franchise for easy money.

I honestly feel like people bought it just to give it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ review and then returned. I do believe Bethesda deserves the hate, they broke a ton of promises from what I've heard/read/seen, but it's definitely a niche game, so late the people that like it play it, and continue on with your day.
