[Tutorial] How to unlock FPS limit in Fallout 76
https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/9wy70q/psa_how_to_disable_vsync_in_fallout_76/

I found this quick tutorial to disable the vsync in F76 and that solved my 30FPS lock with 2060.
To fix screen tearing effect use the Nvidia Control Panel and change the vsync settings to Quick.

Step by Step:
1.) go to C:\Users\YOURNAMEHERE\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76
2.) open the Fallout76Prefs.ini file
3.) Search the ini-file for the word "interval"
4.) set "iPresentInterval=1" to "iPresentInterval=0" (1 = vsync on ; 0 = vsync off)
5.) have fun!

I hope this can helps

Great game

Uhh.. but I was already running at 60 FPS before doing this. Does make it more consistent, though.

Dont forget that if your FPS are too high in this game , its going to glitch on you lol
Vinnolo 17 FEB 2024 a las 17:32
dont bother unlocking the 60 fps cap, game starts to break down and crashes when running above 60

This + AFMF and I get a hyperkek-worthy framerate of 200-300 without the glitches. Ayyyyy

In the single player games high fps can actually reduce game engine performance. Too much time spent by the cpu drawing frames taking away time spent on non-graphics processing which is more important. However the single player games have more work to do.

In a cloud client-server system I'd be wary of sending too many updates to the server. Are you getting 200 unique frames or just a lot of duplicates. The server probably isn't sending 200 updates a second. If that's how this game actually works.

Plus once the fps goes above the hz rate of the monitor it's just wasted processing as the extra frames can't actually be shown.

My 5700X3D can handle the job. Interpolated frames can't do ♥♥♥♥ to game engine since it's processed by GPU. If the game already runs good, it's only getting better. Same to the opposite.

Do tell me how interpolated frames processed by the GPU and not the game itself, could mean more "updates" to the server? Did you mean I could turn off video processing to run the "game" at 1000fps and ruin everyone's experience? I don't get what you mean at all.
240Hz/360Hz displays do exist.
