Is there still no genuine pvp/grief in the game?
Bethesda said that there would be pvp in the game, but last time I played you can't kill people unless they want to be killed. I was expecting it to be like Rust or other Survival games where you can kill and take their loot even if they dont want to be killed. If it is still a baby "survival" game then im probably not going to play it. Or have they completely changed what they were going for and making it into an mmorpg?

Open World PvP wasn't popular at all so they nixed it. There's a PvP Mode with Nuclear Winter though.

You can PvP in the Open World but no there's no griefing nonsense.

It will never be like Rust or Dayz lol

What about the forced "claim workshop when its owned" pvp?

That's pretty much why I prefer this over Rust. Everyone is polite instead of just getting insta-killed or raided the moment you set one foot outside your house.

There was actually a short lived mode that sort of allowed for open PVP and looting. Very few people actually played it as getting blasted from long range was not fun.

That does happen but nobody engages in PVP in those. People either wave and go their merry way or just let the other person take the workshop since odds are it's part of a weekly challenge.

The best way I can describe this game's PVP is that this is Post Apocalyptic Canada. Everyone is polite and they'd much rather help someone than to murder them.

How is killing people that don't want to pvp "genuine pvp?"

Killing mobs is more challenging; at least they fight back.

If you're worried about that, you're not a real pvper.

So you can snipe people in the open world? like they dont have to accept a pvp invite? Or is there like a region where its free range pvp?

To me that's the complete opposite of fun. I don't want to be constantly worried about my supplies. That's why I absolutely LOATHE most survival games.

Like previously mentioned you can do so in attacking workshops or by tuning to the Hunter/Hunted radio. Good luck finding people to do it, though.

You can but you'll do next to no damage and get tagged as Wanted so people can hunt you down for a bounty.

Lmao XD then you dont like survival games :P. It seems like bethesda changed the direction to an mmorpg. I'm probably going to install it again tbh sense there will be actual npcs instead of doing a bunch of fetch quests.

Oh, I like survival games.

I just don't like the ones in which I'm constantly surrounded by bellends. In this if you see a player you wave them hello and offer help if needed. If you want to be on the bellend team then Rust still exists.

:P I dont mind being both. I hope they add a server dedicated to "bellends" to see how popular it would be. Oh, how big can your land claims be? And if you team with people do your land claims grow in size? It mentioned factions being a thing now, so I am assuming that there would be player factions and bases.
