When you do so, it will pack up your building and everything else. You can then go into blue prints and attempt to place it at the new location.
However, the probability of being able to place it down successfully is slim to none. Anything connected to the foundation that also touches the ground, think stairs up to the floor can cause massive collision issues. You can twist and turn it all around in an attempt to get it to place. But it most likely won't work.
This is why you will see many camps that are a 1x2 or 2x2 foundation on the ground and a stair going up to the true building.
If you can't place it at your new home sweet home, you will have to break up the blueprint which gives you all of the components and you can then build it in a manner that fits the new terrain.
but in most cases you can't rebuild it
