Anything above that is overcharged via high Intelligence and/or Extra Ammo perk.
Quest rewards seem to be the odd 500 shot.
I thought this might be the case but the wiki says the gun holds 500 rounds.
Is there anyway around this? Because it's not once in a while for me, the gun is stuck at 250.
Gatling Laser holds 500 per Fusion Core.
Gatling Plasma holds 250 per Plasma Core.

Says clip size is 500
good luck with that.
The highest I ever got was 350.
It one of the most stupidest design I ever seen in videogame.
Well im still pretty new to the game so im just trying to figure all this out. My friend has the same weapon and get gets 500 rounds every time. I was getting 500 for the first few days but now its 250. Then I read this from the wiki and im even more confused lol
"While the reload animation looks like it ejects a core and inserts another, this does not occur. Reloading can be done frequently without losing any ammo. All cores always stay in inventory. Reload adds the number of shots based on the core in inventory with the highest percentage. When it fires, it uses shots from one of the lower percentage cores. When the first core is used up, it will be deleted and subsequent shots are subtracted from another one. The reload sequence will not run until the shot counter reached zero. For instance, with one 90% core and two 50% cores in inventory, reload will show 250*90%=225 shots. When the Gatling is fired, one of the 50% cores will lower in percentage. After 125 shots, the first 50% core is used up. The core count will reduce from three to two and subsequent firing will subtract percentage from the remaining 50% core. This occurs without reloading. After the "loaded" 225 shots, that core will be down to 10%. The reload animation will play. The next 25 shots will use up that core. Afterward shots will decrease the 90% core. Reloading with only this core in inventory will add shots based on the percentage remaining."
Put all your cores into your stash.
Make one. Load it into your weapon. How many shots?
Is it? You need Ammo Crafter and Super Duper to proc to get that much for any Ballistic weapon.
Ballistic rounds don't use durability as their ammo....
Gatling plasma and Gatling laser uses cores which do have durability.
At normal durability they have 250 rounds which is such a stupid design.
because the weapons they are for can hold 500 rounds.
At double durability they have 500 rounds.
The problem is that you can't craft them at double durability. You can try but I only ever gotten close to 350 rounds.
