Are mods from nexus allowed on public servers?
Cause I was thinking of getting:
Better Inventory.
RatMonkeys Easy Sorting and Tagging.
Icon Prefixes for RatMonkeys Easy Sorting and Tagging.
TZMap.
Enhanced Water.

Or will I risk a ban? Cause they are the sort of mods I use with F4 as well.

Yeah, so it's fine right? I made a ticket asking Bethesda. But I know they won't confirm anything. I just want a Hight Quality map and the better inventory/item sorting.
The better quality water I could leave cause gfx related mods don't bother me that much.

They'll probably just repeat what they already said, they "don't officially support it." They can't just outright said yes or no, probably for legal reasons. Most of the time, "support" indicates help and "support" if something goes wrong. They won't do that. It doesn't nessecarily mean it's not allowed either.

But this is what I mean by common sense earlier. Knowing Bethesda's huge positive stance of mods in the past, *cough*minus Creation club *cough* and Nexus' reputation of modding in the past, if all these client side very basic mods really were bannable in FO76, wouldn't you think Nexus would of taken them down by now, or have people in the comments sections of mods all saying this causes a ban, etc.?

Yeah, precisely that. I'm not intending on letting anything "glow" on my map or aimbotting or anything. It's just some QOL stuff.

You can also simply try to enjoy the game as it's intended ya know. Not everything needs to have your own hand shoved into it, this is an online experience that is to be enjoyed as is. Mod support isn't released yet, as it's aimed to be for server-run communities that aren't out yet.

If bans are given out for some modifications then that's a good sign you shouldn't be dabbling in them, regardless if other people make them.

Just be aware about what I said earlier, that chances are some or all mods will break every time the game updates, which is going to be a lot more than previous games because this is an online one.

Depends on the mod, sometimes it's a version number which apparently just requires you to go into the mod yourself and change some txt if I recall, but that might not always be the case. If I had some guarantee that the mods wouldn't do that, (of if the game updates were slower, which I don't think anyone wants) I would of continued to use mods myself.

Again, no one has ever been banned from the commonly used mods on Nexus. It's common sense the ones that give you an advantage or cheat, are the ones that people were banned for. More than likely, the people who said they were banned for such simple mods were lying.

I agree and disagree. I don't like to muddy the water with mods that manipulate the game itself. But Mods that fix bugs or oversights fall into a different catagory.

I am not aware of any other online RPG game that doesn't have a chat system. This is fine for your FPS and battleroyal maybe but not an RPG. (I don't actually use this chat mod.) I hear there is a discord out there which may be a good alternative to the moded chat. In game voice is not the same.

The inventory system is horrible. It is a backstep from FO4. For someone with a vision disability, such as myself, picking out chems from a scrolling list of blurred items is not workable. There is only so much that fits on the favorites keys. As it stands I limit my chem/buff food/healing/food/drink/buff drink items to make less to scroll through. But I have eaten a raw flower many times thinking it was the tea version.

I appoligize for any typos, I usually have to edit a comment for a while to fix my errors. Oh to have the eyes of a 20 year old again. (sigh)

I've been using the sorting/inventory mods since day one. All they do is changing item names for a better inventory sorting. They have been downloaded and used thousands of times and I haven't heard of a single ban because of it.

Good to know! Thanks

Nobody said you will get 100% a ban.
Mods are "Use at your own risk" whatever happens is your own fault.
Eghlain 2020 年 5 月 22 日 下午 2:06
And in all honesty, which Bethesda game ever worked "perfectly" without modding it :p I'm just going to use the Quality of Life mods, and no Cheats. And based on what I read so far that's perfectly fine.

What? You know campaign is MP mode.

I think he was referring to Nuclear Winter as the "MP Mode"

Thank you, you understood.
Sluggerface 2020 年 5 月 22 日 下午 5:05
You won't get banned for using mods. Almost everybody in the community on pc uses stuff like perk loadout manager.

Yes you can use it but Bathesda just dont support it. When they make new patch you need to remove it them or get a update from creator of a mod.
