Fallout 76
Worth getting for a solo player?
Been eyeing this game for awhile but I don't have any friends that play it wondering if you guys think it might be worth getting if you play it solo.

Yeah, its a very good multiplayer game for solo players. Been playing most of my time solo, doing events in a group. But even so, if no one comes to the events i finish them solo.

They had raids before, and it was almost impossible for solo players. Only the best players could solo them. They removed them however, but they might add something similar later after they add the new grouping system.

Only new players have this problem. Its not a problem for players that know how to play the game.
Only bought the game for solo.

Just met one player after three hours and he/she left me alone.
level 115 solo player here. how I prefer to play. Though i do need help with the dam backpack mission. lol.
I was very much against this online game at release, but after the Wasteleanders this game is very much worth it. You can play it as a solo Fallout game. It's not perfect , but it's definitley a good RPG game. A bit grindy, and you get some online issues but it's worth it. I have over 100 hrs in it (level 49) and I purchased it the following day after it was released on Steam.

I mean Does it play good on PC

Not really no. Depends, if you have a good server, it plays maybe a little better than Fallout 4 (Expected because of the 2+ years gap between the games) but on really busy servers, it runs and feels like ass, with the AI not even recognizing it's under attack 2/3 of the time.
I've been playing it solo and it's very fun, the main gripe i had before buying fallout 76 was the pvp but not many ppl seem to do it unless your're in a workshop or gained a wanted level which is great since I really don't like pvp.
buy it 2021
The problem is whoever gets into the chunk first spawns the enemies, and once you get into the divide high level enemies are spawned by high level players.

So you constantly run into lvl 62 ghouls etc. You can quit and try a new server, but high level players are generally everywhere in a game this old

The solution is apparently to grind,, but if you are trying to play it as a solo walking simulator etc just to see the sights, that takes all the fun out of it and interrupts the progression.

Up until that point it flows easily enough. Like a budget knockoff version of Bethsoft games. I think I'd prefer it more without the 'wastelanders' to be honest, their voice acting is terrible neutral voice and they are obviously shoe horned in sometimes.
I'll run with ya.
Gonna be honest was not expecting this much good feedback for the game, seems like I have to grab it now shame I missed the darn sale lol
