Nuclear Winter: Clothing Removed
Sup peeps,

Just wanted to double check this is an intended "feature" here but I bought an outfit from the Atomic Store to equip for Nuclear winter, favourited it and went into the lobby all good right...

Now in adventure mode, any armour you equip goes underneath your outfit, so why in the hell, on a mode where you have to spend valuable atoms to customise your character would it have it remove yah dayum outfit?

Literally makes it completely pointless to customise your outfit on Nuclear Winter if you're just gonna lose it immediately anyway, unless of course you want to put yourself at a disadvantage the entire game...which I did because I wanted to look cool ;D

But regardless, any insight into this would be great, cheers.

Because the right clothes can make you much harder to see, giving you a distinct advantage over those who didn’t buy from the shop.
It’s why you often see people immediately stripping once the game starts.

There’s still an advantage in the very early game but one that quickly falls off as people find armor.

Those are intended for the v51 lobby. And I guess the very beginning of the game, but you'll be covering yourself up with armor almost immediately. Since NW is a pvp focused mode, it would be too much of an advantage to hide what kind of armor you're wearing and potentially wear something that camouflages you pretty well with the background

I'm not too sure if i see the camouflage argument as a strong enough point to negate your Atomic Clothing, considering the value of atoms, even more so if we were to take many other BR titles into account.

That has never been a problem before to just remove clothing choice and have everyone look the same even though you can effectively camouflage yourself in those titles, those games are still successful and have next to no problem with the camouflage argument.

Also players can just take off their vault suit and along with certain armours can camouflage themselves pretty well that way, on top of the fact that players can also get indicated by a Red Arrow above them when spotted.

Regardless, I just don't personally feel like thats a strong enough reason to strip your outfit from you.

Outfit is an overlayer.
Underlayer armor is what you want if you want to stay "Secretive" and they sell those too from time to time.

That being said? Armor is overrated in NW. People just shoot you in the head anyways and if it is a torso shot, you're gonna feel it, even in marine. Power armor is the only thing that makes it not hurt as much, but it still hurts.

I see what you're saying, and I know of the under armour options just unfortunately don't own any as of yet, I just feel it would be nice for both under armour and outfits to be usable for that added customisation yah know.
