Is it possible to transfer items to another one of your characters?
The stash size is too small so I'm thinking of possible ways to transfer your items to another one of your characters to store it. Is it possible? Or do you have to buy the game again and install it in a different computer in order to do that?

The only way I'd recommend is having a friend you can trust. You can transfer stuff that way.

The next "sort of reliable" way would probably if you had a fallout 1st subscription. You could place stuff in a container and log out and back in. The game should throw you right back into the instanced map you were in and the container should still have your items in it.

Other than the friend method, it's pretty much "at your own risk".

Even the friend method could be considered at your risk since Bethesda would just consider the trade something you agreed to and wouldn't get involved if someone ran off with it.

Make a new account, rebuy the game, use that to trade items from 1 to another and use your alt characters as mules so you can swap stuff easier

I dont think you can put things into containers can you ? Are the fallout first servers persistent, seems like you would want to be able to refresh the items periodically,

Safest way is to use two accounts with two different pcs. If you are active in fallout trade community, its recommended to have two accounts so you can max the cap limit on multiple characters.

You can get the game very cheap, it doesn't need to be on steam if you just going to use it to transfer items between characters.

You basically have a few minutes to swap characters before the server resets. Presumably to cover disconnects. So if you log out, swap characters fast and log back in you'll end up on the same map. Which means you can grab anything put in a non stash box.

Only really works for Fallout 1st, since the normal world placement is random.

What I did was just add a couple of people at random, most of them accepted, and use them as an 'anchor' for their specific server. I don't bother them if they are on a private server, and I usually visit their vendor to buy something if they stayed on long enough for me to swap.

So

1. Join their server with the character you want to drop something from

2. Find a world container in a location that doesn't get much traffic and that your other character can also get to without trouble

4. Double check that the person is still online on the server

5. Back out to the menu, swap characters and join their server again

Has never failed me, ♥♥♥♥ paying again to transfer items lmao.

If you are transfering high value items and you don't have any other way of doing it, just spam add people on the server you are on so you have multiple anchors. (hoping they accept)

With a Fallout 1st subscription, that's just an unlimited scrapbox which you put crafting items into. You can't put weapons into those, can you?

Where else can you buy the game if not on Steam? And if you do buy a second game outside of Steam, can the 2 characters still meet in the same server?

Ask friend to help you move items.

I'm amazed you found random people to accept a friend request without having any contact with them first.

Steam and bethesda launcher players can play on the same server. Many stores are selling the bethesda launcher version cheaper than the steam version.

Buy a cheap key for the bethesda launcher and use that as a mule. This is the most effective way of keeping extra items. You can pick a key up for less than 10 usd.

You can run multiple instances of the game. 3 or more depending on specs

It's mostly lower levels that accept, but in general most people are very trusting on the game as nothing bad can happen from accepting a friend request. It's only team invites that people are wary of.
