Fallout #1 Advantages and Disadvantages.

I have been playing with Fallout #1 since the game moved over to Steam and this is what I see as its advantages and disadvantages.

Fallout #1 Advantages

1. Lots of storage for junk like in ESO Plus.

2. Second portable camp which is money saver in caps in travel time plus I have a close place to dump junk or other items. Actually this is a really big plus and shouldn't be underestimated.

3. You get so many Atoms per month.

4. You have a private world but this I consider this the least of its advantages.


Fallout #1 Disadvantages

1. Cost, cost, cost.

2. If you are the only player in a world then the enemies are often at your level. A significant disadvantage if you solo play.

There may be something else but I cannot think of anything.

Dominating everything in one shot can be fun once in a while, but it's not rewarding enough for it to be the rule and not the exception. Low level = low loot and XP.

The entire western side of the map is forever skewed towards lower levels in terms of risk vs reward. Elsewhere, most things actually aren't your level, they just have possibility of being that level, it's all random.

I actually wish they WERE my level, or actually, a 10 level range below or above me, that means I'd get more XP, and higher level weapon drops. A level 50 molerat is still just a molerat, we're talking maybe a few extra bullets to die compared to a say level 10 one.

Right now the range is so large that almost anything goes, but that west side will never be viable anymore past 35. For a game where the map is going to remain this small for a long time where you're meant to play the game for a long time, the game needs more incentive to do things everywhere, not just a small part of it.

I don't have a problem with a few being at my level but I do have a problem with a large group. Then chances of surviving become a bit iffy.

I ran across a narrow spot with two Assualtrons and two Colonel Gutsy if memory serves me correct. I chose the better part of valor and snuck around them.

After using FO 1st for a month. Literally the only advantage I see is the atoms. If you buy the annual package that's a 200 atom to 1 usd ratio, which is the best value they have for their premium currency.

Everything else is meh. No interest in private worlds since I want people visiting my vendors. Survival Tent is a luxury. Junk is almost worthless once you get the right perks and can do Encryptid/SBQ comfortably for repair kits.

Its a signifigant advantage because enemies aren't at the level of some much higher level that's vaguely in the area.

1650 atoms = more than $12.99
Personal server - also to avoid pvp in workshops
Scrap box = almost infinity storage for junk items

workshop stays claimed even if log out for the day on personal server

Disadvantages
None

If you play just a little bit you will see a huge amount of people buys #1.
They know how to catch us!
Also dont see the enemies being your level a disadvantage.
Its actually an advantage cause it lets you level up faster and easier.
Also all workshops are yours. All loot is yours. All plans are spawned (more or less) and all stuff is spawned.

This is what they said

Should be alot less then that, considering the private servers of amazon are expensive. I do rather wish they actually removed the server from the cost and sold it seperately, whille keeping rest of benefits for around 2-3 a month, because such stuff really does not cost alot more then 1.5 a month if you take into acccount whats actually needed for such services.

ITs not even an advantage. If anything you're probalyl stopping yourself from selling stuff.

Yes, It can take 10 mins before everyone is in the same public server but that it.

I havnt seen a single bit of PVP etxept for the time I was new and needed fusion cores so I hacked someoness generator at theyr workshop.

Private servers are an advantage. The real stuff you sell on markets/discord/ect. You only sell garbage on vendors and its more of a gimmick than really usefull. Also dont forget people abused them to steal from you. You dont know when they find the next loop hole. So yeah preventing yourself from selling stuff!? Rather prevent yourself from getting robbed!
I mean people will find always something when they have pink glasses on , I guess.
