So how broken is the Card Editor?
I was getting really fustrated when loaded Recipes into new deck slots and having a bunch of cards that I was pretty sure I had show up with the Yellow-Exclaimation-Mark triange: \!/ .

But eventually I figured it one big thing out: If the recipe calls for 3 copies of a card, and you only have 1 or 2 copies, it stupidly and annoyingly marks all 3 copies as unavaible!

So if you load in a Recipe, all the cards in the recipe have 3 copies each, and every-single card in the recipe is marked as you don't have it, it's actually possible that you really have 2 out of every one of those sets of 3, but it's just not telling you!

But if you just just delete the copies you don't have from the recipe, then the one or two copies cards you do have are no longer marked with the \!/ and you can play with the deck when it's fixed!

Well... that's my contribution to this forum for the moment...

So... doesn't anyone else know any good tricks for the editor?

I have to admit the "Related Cards" list seems pretty bad. Some cards seem to have reasonably related cards listed, but others have tons of cards that don't seem very related while omitting ones that are.

Thanks in advance for any new advice/suggestions.

Oh... does anyone know of a good deck-editor? I'm not looking to cheat and get cards that I haven't "earned", but it would be really nice to transfer some of my decks out some of the 32 slots so I can make more decks to play with, and then move some of the older decks back in if and when I want to. :-)

You can get all the cards in a recipe by continuously starting a game against the ai who's deck you want and instantly surrender. You will get a guaranteed card from the deck each time you surrender.

As for transferring decks, that's not possible.

Thanks. Are you sure it's AGAINST the player you want cards from and not as that player? I kept trying to play both as and against Joey trying to get my 2nd Red-Eyes B. Dragon, but never got him. I know "should be" able to figure it out, but it's harder for me to keep track of those sort of things than it is for most people.

100% sure. You get cards from the opponent's deck, not the one you're playing with.
Otherwise it would be pretty hard to get cards from challenge decks (since you can only play them with custom decks). :P

You'll get all cards from the deck, eventually, just keep farming. You first get enough copies to exactly match the opponent's recipe, then you get additional cards until you have 3 copies of each of their cards, then you get only points.

Thanks. But I can't find any website that will tell me which Joey Battle gives you the "Lord With Red Eyes" recipe. Is there one?

If not, do you always get the recipes of the deck that they played in the match? If so, I guess I just need to battle all the Joey's until I find the copy of the Joey that plays that deck.

You'll only get the recipe of the deck you fought against, guaranteed the first time you beat it.
Fighting a single Joey on a loop won't give you his other deck recipes (nor give you cards other Joeys might use).

The recipe "Lord with Red Eyes" is Joey's deck in the duel "Fighting for a Friend".

Thanks. I just found it, but had to go through all the Joey battles to find it since that was just before you replied again. Is the list of where to find them posted somewhere?

Thanks. I'm afraid to keep asking, but I now really want a Scrap Dragon. Is there a match that might give one? I read it's the Gong Strong packs that have it, but I've started to work through his campaign to see if there's a match with one. If there isn't, I'd prefer to save that campaign for later and just keep opening packs. (But I'd rather earn one from playing against a Scrap-Dragon build if that's possible.)

Scrap Dragon was one my favorite additions to my Red Eye deck(s) in Duel Links. You can use it destroy the Warriors equipted to Slash to destroy any enemy card, and then just attack with more Red-Eye monsters to put the Warriors back. It's a very nice "engine", one that tends to give the deck at least a chance to "reply to" almost any threat. Playing Red-Eyes without it makes it feel very vulnerable. I know there are other cards that kill Spells/Traps/Big-monsters, but my deck can already syncro-summon level 8's, so Scrap Dragon(s) would give me a chance to deal with that stuff only by changing the Extra Deck without a single change/compromise to my main deck.

Lucky for you, I have a save on which I never bought packs and only farmed AI opponents until I had 3 copies of all their cards. Point is, by checking this file's cards, I can know instantly if someone, somewhere, uses a card or not.
And Scrap Dragon is in the list (synchro monster, light dragon, lvl 8, 2800/2000, right?). Woohoo. :dip:

Now, let's check the AI decks and find it... Bandit Keith's challenge deck uses them, it's a "pendulum scrap" deck. To unlock it, beat all Bandit Keith AI in the campaign (first series).

Cool and thanks. I was going to do all of the 2nd last campaign instead and obviously wouldn't have found it. I should already have Keith unlocked since I've finished 100% of the 1st (Yugi Yami) campaign, including the reverse matchups.

Update: Got a Scrap Dragon on my 2nd game against him. (Well, 3rd if you count the one I won before I posted here and knew I was playing for a Scrap Dragon.)
